Holy crap, DEATH BY DEGREES is incredibly frustrating! - Jan 29, 2005 21:14
I haven' t encountered a control scheme this annoying since umm, I can' t really remember since when. The Dual Analog control scheme of this game is incredibly cumbersome. I thought I' d " GET USED TO IT" after 2 hours but using the right analog stick to perform all of your attacks is not my idea of fun NAMCO!!!

Plus the game is riddled with load times.. Every few steps you take, you open a door and you' re in Load time city. On top of that the camera angles are sometimes annoying, ugh, I so wanted to like this game despite not liking the Tekken games but what the hell was Namco thinking in not allowing user configurable controls???

Aside from the stupid control scheme and somewhat faulty camera angles that sometimes screw up the directional controls even more, underneath all that mess is a decent game so far.

What is this game you speak of? Namco is still in business?

It' s Namco' s Nina Williams game. They' ve taken her from Tekken and tossed her in her own action-adventure game where the left analog stick is used to move her around and the right analog stick is primarily for attacking.

I figured that out after I responded. It was right before midnight so I decided to go out and check my mailbox. The new EGM was there and they reviewed this game (giving it a 5, 6, and 5 I think).

If you like playing Namco games with both knobs, try Katamari Damacy.

Well it' s not a bad game by any means, I' m still playing it.. Having invested a total of 10 hours into it so far I think it' s a decent action-adventure title. The graphics are solid, the sound is ok, haven' t heard any of that Namco sound team music magic yet but the ambient sounds are pretty sweet. The controls took quite a while for me to get into but I think they' re finally beginning to set in and not be TOO much of an issue..

I wouldn' t let a couple bad reviews discourage me from the game, if you can rent it, it might be worth a look ;)

The Kikizo review will be up asap! The definitive review I might add.

The game is out in the US today (unless there has been a last minute change), and next month in the UK (27th I believe).
