well i' ve seen this in teamxbox and thought it' s a good thread, though they only discuss about microsoft, so what is the worst that can happen to all three players, i' ll start:

Microsoft:

Halo 3 single player is very underwhelming.

too human is crap again

No newer impressive IP shown by microsoft this e3 (about the same what happened to sony last e3)

Sony steals the show with a god of war 3 trailer or Killzone 2 ingame footage equaling the same or almost quality of the infamous e3 2005 trailer.

lost odyssey very underwhelming

No major Jap games announced.

Red ring of death on demos stands


Sony:

Killzone 2 is not close to the trailer.
Metal gear or zone of the ender announced to 360
lost odyssey is as impressive as final fantasy 13
final fantasy 13 is not impressive
no newer impressive Ip announced to e3
Ken kutaragui opens anyway anyhow his mouth.
kez hurai is the newer kutaragui
more exclusives slip


Nintendo:

still not many games announced to the " serious" gamers
not a single game is attractive graphicaly
most games controls feel gimmicky

the best thing about wii , it can only get better... seriously

the worst thing that could happen is that the Internet blows up and I cant come here to complain about E3

Worst thing that can happen to MS:
-Huxley gets cancelled on 360 and remains exclusive to PC
-No price drop


Worst thing that can happen to Sony:
-MGS4 no longer exclusive, although it' s more likely that Tekken 6 will lose exclusivity.
-No price drop

Worst thing that can happen to Nintendo:
-SSB:B gets pushed back
-No production increase
-No price drop

i don' t think they will announce anything that has to do with price on e3, not the right place to do it nor the right time for both ms and sony

The worst thing that can happen in E3 is that the convention would get downsized to a hotel-type deal & closed to the public, only letting the cream of the crop in to see the latest in technology...

I don' t either but imagine if one of the three do announce a price drop at E3, it would be bad news for the other two.

if sony drops the price to 400$ , MS is in deep deep shit even if they can the 360 price to 300$... people are still thinking that ps3 is the most powerful must have console ever and the only reason for not owning it is the price. but that' s not realistic at all, the best sony can drop is 100$.

on another note , Nintendo can release its " wii light" and microsoft hires Ken kutaragui while sony make its PSN equal or even better than xbox live ====> microsoft will be in deep shit .... fortunatly hat would never happen

Sony won' t drop to $400. Anything but a $100 price drop is going to be largely irrelevant. The consumers need to see that $499 in the window, and massive amounts of good PR & advertising on the horizon to ensure a purchase.

You' d be suprised Aba, there was certainly that shock & awe when the PS3 first released, but now even the dumbest of consumers is realising that there isn' t anything amazing that would push them to make a purchase.

On that note, Sony needs to revamp & ramp-up it' s advertising campaign. They need to drop those silly Sixaxis ads, and we need to see PS3 trailers left & right on TV. Both the Wii and the 360 have had a solid advertising run in my area, but I haven' t seen a PS3 ad in months.

Microsoft

1-They lost Gears Of War to their own PC-Windows! OH NO!
(I know many people who liked to have a 360 because of Lost Planet
but now they don' t want a 360 anymore because Lost Planet is coming for VISTA soon!)

2-HALO 3' s graphics is not impressive yet

3-No Shenmue III and Episodic Shenmue I and II for XBL Marketplace!

4-Resident Evil 5-Wii Edition

1-No more Namco Ban Dai, Capcom and SEGA support

2-No Shenmue III and download able Shenmue I and II for PS Store

3-MGS4 goes 360!!! with RUMBLE SUPPORT.

4-No Yakuza 2 for PS2!!! (seriously Yakuza 2 can keep PS2 alive!)

Not sure about other European countries but I haven' t seen a PS3 advert since Easter this year, however on the flip side there are more and more Wii adverts.

Worst that can happen at E3 is that all companies decide to announce they are joing forces and are going to finally bring out the Wii3box which will have motion control,blu ray and HD DVD and will cost $12000 and if you don' t buy one then you are not classed as a gamer at all.

In all seriousness the worst thing is that there is nothing new shown, all that is shown are trailers and screenshots that are going to be out in the next 6 months, nothing shown which is on the cards for 12 months from now.
