Help on the CELL for Sony products

Ok i' ve heard of this CELL thing for sony products(PS3,Broadband TV, etc). But I dont get one bit what this thing is...whats it do?

Supposedly it' s a new type of processor. Maybe calling it a new type is bad wordage, but basically it processes in a new way. Soon, we are going to have our TVs hooked up thru a LAN to the microwave so it can start cooking our burrito before our TV show goes to commercial. Then when we get up at the commercial break, our food is done. Ok, maybe that isn' t what it' s going to be used for, but how sweet would it be

i want one of these and one of the oprocessors from the other next gen systems syrgically implated into my pinky, yes my pinky, i do nto want a system, put a hard drive in my belly and soem contoller ports and i will be good XD you can already doo that PS2Poodoo, it is just really expensive
