The PS2 current gen games look way better than some of those demos (besides the facial animation demo since no game has faces with that much detail). Sure it may have taken several gens, but at least they kinda kept good on their promise. Maybe by the PS3' s fourth gen the Killzone 2 demo will be realtime and not CG.

And yes i do belive that killzone2 was pre-rendered,and wont look as good.
But i do belive in Square-enix and their tech demo,because if you looked at for ex the tech demo for ps2 with FF8 it was as good as FFX looked,so yes i belive in that ff7 tech demo,and that will be pretty much what the limits are gonna be for rpg' s might be a bit higher,but not much.
Square-enix are a company indeed that deliver highest of quality in terms of gameplay and graphics and ofc sound....but now nubuo is working with sakaguchi at mistwalker... but since im buying his titles it doesnt affect me ofc

I read an interview with the killzone developers where they said the video was indeed prerendered, but they would be showing the realtime stuff soon, my guys is the Tokyo Games Show. I doubt they will be able to pull it off. But then again, i admit im Xbox Biased :P
