PGR2 Downloads soon - May 19, 2004 19:24
New Cars

TVR Cerbera Speed 12 (DLC Verison) - Exactly the same as the retail version, only thing is you won' t need all Platinums to get it. However, this model only comes in racing green so we can still tell who' s beaten the game and who' s downloaded their way to TVR heaven.

Ferrari 288 GTO - A fast, fast *fast* Ferrari. Absolute classic and still outperforms most sports cars these days.

BMW 645Ci - BMW' s latest 6 series offering. It' s big, but it' s quick and has a very distinctive design.

Ferrari 365 GTS4 (Daytona) - Miami Vice. A 70' s classic Ferrari. A definate for anyone who claims to know their Ferrari' s.

Porsche 356A Carrera Speedster - The humble beginnings of the Boxster way back in the 50' s.

Ferrari 250TR - Classic front engine Ferrari racer for the road. Another 50' s offering, and amazingly quick considering it' s age.

Chevrolet Corvette C6 - Brand new, straight from Chevrolet factories. Only announced 2 months ago, now available for you to drive, even before your car dealer gets to see one

BMW M3 CSL -The light-weight, lightning quick special M3. A track beast with a sensational engine and impeccable dynamics. This is one fun car.

You have to pay for some downloads eg. Links, Mech Assault. All of those cars and the track will be in a single download so I' d say you' d have to pay.

I think its supposed to be 5 clams. I expect to see more of this, I wouldn' t be suprised if they make more multiplayer maps for Halo 2 for a small fee. And why not?--Who could resist that ? I guess you could argue that the content should have been in the initial release, but developers could go on forever adding content and not release their game in a timely fashion. Either way, it' s a completely optional download.

What are everyone' s thoughts on paying for downloadable content?

the developers put some work into the stuff so its alright to dish out additional fees as long as the stuff is worth it. But like you said its all very optional. Chances are after reading future live plans and connection with PC stuff probably wont be charged no long.

Yeah, I just read it will cost $4.99 American. I don' t like how you have to pay for the download because isn' t that partly why you have to pay to use XBL? Oh well, I' ll be paying for the PGR DLC anyway.

no, you pay to use LIVE so MS can upkeep the high speed servers. I have no problem with paying if it' s worth it. And not that I would , but if you have a modded Xbox you get it for " free" , if you know what I mean.

How is $5 for a new city (7 tracks) and 7 cars alot of $.

The DLC is awsome i downloaded it a day after it came out and it got me back to playing PGR2 again.

Paris looks amazing(best looking city in PGR2),and the addition of the civilian cars is nice.

All the dowloadable cars are good. The C6 and the BMW' s are my best ones.

I didn' t say it was a lot of money, I just said it' s not exactly worth it. Four of the seven tracks are pretty much just high speed rings (which is no fun) and the cars are really uneven. They should have put them classes like every other car in the game to make it more balanced. Plus the DLC can' t be used offline in KWS mode or Aracde mode.

I just got it, Paris is one sweet level, one of the best, if not the best track in the game. IMO. The cars were sweet too, TVR and corvette were probally some of the best in the DL. Its worth the measly 5$.
