Ubisoft has told GameSpot that First Radical' s sci-fi first-person shooter Haze is now being planned solely for Sony' s PlayStation 3 platform.

Originally, Haze was slated as a multiplatform release for the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 in spring, but back in May Ubisoft announced that the PS3 had become the " lead platform" for the title, which would be released in November on the PS3-only, although " no exclusivity for any platform has been officially announced."

Today, Ubisoft said that currently no other versions in development, and although it was still leaving the door open in the future for " new partnerships," currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, " The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed."

The Web sites of Free Radical, the Official Haze site, and Ubisoft site, all now only list the PS3 version of the game.

Now if only they can up the games art direction they' ll be on to a winner. The footage that came out of GC was pretty damn good. It definitely has promise.

Haze has a lot of promise , but i dont think the 360 owners will miss it too much .. 360 has a few ' similar' titles for it already and some more on the way ..

The pre-GC stuff was a big meh but the jungle stuff they showed looked superb. I think it' ll be pretty big on PS3, ...Free Radical aren' t exactly known for making shit games and it' s graphically impressive. I honestly think Sony have secured exclusivity to try and fend off Halo 3, and although it' ll get eclipsed sales-wise i think that it' ll be a pretty big deal when it hits.

It' s nice that Sony are pushing for more exclusivity. So far the biggest PS3 games just haven' t delivered on their initial promises...

It doesn' t seem to make much sense economically just to release on PS3 because of the lower install base, would have expected at least a PC version. Maybe they don' t want to put the game up against Halo 3, Crysis etc as it might come off second best.

Thats the thing orno, will sales recoup dev cost on 360 and PC[which have a lot of good FPSs and are soon getting possibly the best CoD4, Halo 3, Crysis, OrangeBox, Quake Wars etc]

No one on 360 or PC needs/wants another FPS, where as the PS3 only has a few as it stands worth getting[orange box, CoD4, UT3]

its a bit of a catch-22 situation for them I know, but you would have thought if it was good enough to compete against those you mention then they would have at least gained some of the market for FPS if put on PC and made it profitable.

They were careful not to say that it would never come out on PC or 360. PS3 is now the lead platform for Haze, it may still come out for the other two later.

Haze looks good, I probably won' t buy it with such a saturated FPS market, there are simply more games to my tastes. It' s nice to see the PS3 getting something though.
