Nice pickup by op_ivy, who found the first notice on the Gaming-Age forums; on the back page of the October 2004 Xbox Live calendar in the November issue of the Official Xbox Magazine (between pages 24 and 25) is a note in the ' What' s Happenin' With Xbox' section:

When was the last time a game got this much publicity and hype? Special Cups, Special Edition, a theatre trailer...
