Do You Dream In Color or Black and White? - Sep 22, 2004 17:09
Most of the time, I dream in color...vivid color during intimate scenes or for those times when the dream includes someone significant from my past...usually someone who has passed away or haven' t seen for a very long time.

Every once in a while, when the dream becomes quite dramatic, I dream in black and white...

Whether this is a result of watching quite a few movies in the span of my life...who knows...

So, do you dream in black and white, in color, or both?

Tell us about your situation.

Aye, full colour for me too in dreamland.

What concerns me most in dreams is how you can feel pain. I' m not usually killed in every dream I have but in stupid ones where my teeth had to be pulled out for example I can quite clearly remember pain. It' s great to wake up and be fine however.

In color mainly but I' ve had a dream or two in black and white. The last black and white dream I had really freaked me out because of how real it was and the feeling I picked up in the dream.

Feeling in a dream is crazy! Sometimes I will actually dream that I am peeing. In real life I need to pee really, really bad. But I am asleep. I' ve never been a bed wetter, but I' m surprised that dreaming that I am actually peeing when I need to pee really bad hasn' t made me one. Same thing with sex in dreams. Been there, done that. Woke up to find myself perfectly ok and clean. I don' t think I' ve ever had a wet dream.

Terry,

Sounds like you need to update your internal configuration to get High-Def quality video with THX/5.1 audio. (LOL!!!)

This may also be a glitch in your system...you may need to see a specialist. I suggest Best Buy, Comp USA, or Radio Shack. (LOL!!!)

I dream in full color. It always seems like I' m there. A few times I' m in 3rd person but normally in 1st. What I think is crazy about dreams is the wierdest stuff can be happening around me and I' ll just accdept it. I don' t second guess it or anything. I just take it for being real. Like openeing my bedroom door and entering my shool through it. I just except it and seem to continue on with my dream. It' s pretty funny when I wake up. I' ve been lucky enough to not have dreamed in 6 months. Either that or I' ve been supressing them. The last one I had was really bad and I woke up traumatized and crying( yeah pretty wussy huh?). Ever since then I haven' t had a dream that I can remeber and I thank God for it.

My freakiest dream which my colorblind ass could tell was B/W looked like and old movei reel. My color dreams (i think they color) tend to be more dreamlike and less frightning

A few years back I took some color tests and they concluded I was colorblind. It sucks cuz Im hardcore into art and stuff, however I can use it to my advantage and come up with a unique visual.

However over the years Ive learned how colors associate with objects so i can guess a color simply by the object type.

So do you simply see everything in black and white or can you only see certain colors, like brown? I' ve never known if " color blind" meant blind to colors literally or more like " color toned-down" or " pallette swap" .
