I really had high hopes for this game.....but Capcoms goes and ruins it by making it on-the-rails[:' (].

Both Mario Galaxy and Prime 3 won' t be here for another few months and now this........... its not a good time to be a Wii owner..

I kinda agree. I think that despite being a good idea in general the controller itself brings limitations to the actual control methods in some games. Capcom should have just built upon RE4 but instead they' ve once again gone the Dead Aim route and while i' ll be buying the game i can' t see it having the impact it could have had.

What they' re essentially creating is a House of the Dead rip off where you have limited control of the camera. That' d be fine if it was a light gun game like House of the Dead, but the Wiimote doesn' t work like that. For the Wiimote to have light gun-esque functionality they' d have to have a calibration screen every time you started a game, and since that' d only work on a static image and you can actually turn the camera in the game then it' s an unlikely solution.

What we' ll probably end up with it an onscreen crosshair of some sort and awkward aiming. Add the fact that the game can' t possibly be as hectic as the HotD games because of the control mechanism and what we have is a potential graphical showcase for the hardware and little else.

Still, it has promise and it' s still early in the development process.

Damn, Wii might have something worthy after all. I' m glad this developer isn' t exclusive to Wii. I can' t wait to see what they can do with the 360 and PS3.

I don' t care about Killer 7, No more Heroes looks promissing. The english voice acting needs to improved dramatically though.

I think it has something to do with more unique artistic expression and experimentation rather than the rather more formulaic game design that we have seen the industry settle into in the last several years.

No More Heros is NOT on-the-rails like Killer 7. No More Heros will have a free roaming world. And the game does look awesome by the way.

I don' t understand why they don' t allow you to calibrate the wii-mote for more precise aiming. Surely couldn' t be that hard to impliment?

Maybe once the zapper attachment is released they' ll update it?

Have to agree that the Wiimote makes for a pretty crappy light gun as things stand. Just playing the shooting game on Wii Play proves it.
