You can just download to a PC via XSATA then upload from XSATA to your PC. Easy peasy.

He is right about the HD being a ripoff though. $180 for a 120gb HD? Yes I know its a laptop drive, and they cost more than an equivalent desktop drive, but still. If I were to spend $180 USD ($208CDN) up here tommorow, I could go buy myself a top of the line " Seagate 160GB Momentus 5400.3 ATA 2.5in HDD w/ 8MB Cache" at my local store, slap it in my PS3 and have $30 left over. Or buy the equivalent 120GB HD and have $100 left over, enough for another 100GB HD, or spend $15 more and get myself two 120gb HD' s.

All in all, I' m at least glad they are updating it, and I will buy one as soon as they release the 65nm chips in the Elite. I might even buy one sooner if I can' t resist Mass Effect and Bioshock. I have a feeling I will be severely tempted to pick one up the week Mass Effect releases.

Are there any advantages with 65nm chips over the 90nm? I recon it runs cooler and less noisy.. but any performance gain or other good stuff?

The black ones with 90nm are limited (Elite), after which they will switch to making them white with 65nm and I guarantee a new price. People who buy the " ELITE" will pay a premium on the console in order subsidize the cost of the fabrication change from 90nm to 65nm. It' s a pretty clever move by MS. If you don' t mind a white one just wait, in a few months they' ll have the 65mn version of the Elite at a better price.

They will keep the Black. Guaranteed. The demand is there and it also gives them another thing over Sony.

Well regardless of the colour the 65nm versions will come out and cost about 400$ USD after the 90nm units are sold. Replacing the Premium which will replace to Core. I hope they discontinue the Core. That' s my prediction anyways.

I agree, black works better with sharp edges like with the PS3 or Wii, with the curves of the 360, white is the only suitable colour.

It' s not that the 360 couldn' t look good in black, its that the black they used is crap. Its dull, and just looks like shitty black plastic. The chrome just makes it look that much worse. If it was a shiny finish like the ps3, the chrome suits it because both are reflective and shiny. I really wanted a black one, but now that I see high res close ups, I don' t know. It just looks real cheap to me, instead of good looking. The plastic looks like the same texture as a SNES.

Seems like Microsoft has just made it harder stay with the top end versions of the system, especially if they plan on revamping it every so often...

I want the HDMI and I haven' t bought an Xbox, so I' m happy. However, if I had already bought one, I would be angry. When I buy a console that is the " top of the line" I don' t want it to be mid-range in a year. The price is also a bit high considering how little was added. Hopefully it goes down with the switch to the 65nm chips as many have speculated.

I really really wish it was a nicer black(or grey eddie). I was thinking it would be more of a satin matte finish, not just colored plastic. I know they wouldn' t wanna do shiny because thats what the ps3 is(I wouldn' t care, I love it on all my electronics) but a nice satin black finish would work too, and look much better. With the last generation this look would fit in, but with the Wii and PS3 around, it just comes off cheap IMO. Heck, the white 360' s have a nicer finish.

360 dev-kits are the same kind of matte black and they existed prior to Sony' s choice to only supply black PS3' s.

That' s debatable when it comes to the box itself, but did you see all the freaking accessories it came with?!

-Power supply (duh)
-An Analog RCA/TOS-link thingie that separates audio from HDMI
-Cheap@$$ Headset & etherweb like the premium.

All consoles are overpriced & this is no exception, but buying all that crap retail? That' d be stupid expensive.
