Namco have trademarks for Beautiful Katamari so it' s definitely coming.

As for Ace Combat, i don' t know. It doesn' t matter to me either way as i' ll own both machines in the next couple of days but it' d be interesting to see another traditionally Sony exclusive go to 360.

I' d expect Tekken to go multi-platform before Ace Combat though. Namco' s next-gen offerings thus far haven' t exactly been impressive though...

I have only one question...

...it' s seriously called ' Beautiful Katamari' ? I mean, I love quirky names and all...but wouldn' t ' Pretty' , or ' Sassy' , or something be better (at emasculating men more but if you' re playing Katamari already it really doesn' t make a diff).

PS3, Wii, definitely. Motion sensing and a giant sticky ball are just perfect for each other. They should make it online so people can roll you up into their Katamari and there' s a minigame to get off.

" Sassy Little Katamari: Lovely Wondrous Edition." I' d buy that day one, and decline a bag so I could brazenly display it walking out of the mall.

I wouldn' t expect a gay man to be looking at lingerie (well, unless he' s wearing it). Straight men look at woman' s lingerie I think gay man look at boxers =$

This is definitely good news, but I don' t know exactly how this game would work with motion sensing controls. With games like Mercury, Monkey Ball, or Marble Madness (that alliteration was unintentional) I can see the motion control scheme working with those easily, but I don' t know about Katamari. With that game, you have direct control over the ball, you' re not having to tilt the world to make it roll.

Also, I do not understand your avatar at all, Die_Hounderdoggen. What is that? An elastic pimp flicking a cigarette?

what will be fun is how each version copes, the wii will be the most different version right away with it the wiimote. the 360 and pa3 wil;l more than likely look the same but the ps3 will use the six axis leaveing the poor 360 with nothing but plain old last gen non motion based playing. tsk tsk.

Heh, and all the AA and crisp textures in the world do nothing for this game.

Now this would be an awesome application of the Wiimote.

" Heh, and all the AA and crisp textures in the world do nothing for this game."

Except having almost 6 times more ram allows you to have more shit on screen at once. It' s not just a frame buffer or texture space. The GPUs on PS3 and 360 can output ten times more polygons. Which means more objects. The whole appeal of the game is to collect junk. I want more junk! The PS3 will have the best version, with the joysticks at the most comfortable places. It also has tilt function if you like that sort of shit. Personally motion sensing is worthless, I much much rather holding a traditional controller with my games. The Wiimote doesn' t feel right, there' s no resistance. The analogue stick has a spring or some shit. It' s not waving a remote in the air like a retard. The wiimote is not natural.

When you look at multiplatform games. No Wii version of any game will be better than a PS3/360 version.

Point noted, but on that topic, do you really think the original katamari' s were maxing out RAM on the PS2?

I agree, there should be waaaay more junk, but I' m not expecting them to turn out a game that' s amazingly better for 360 & PS3. It' s very possible, but as good as the developers are on the Katamari team, It' d make the Wii port look lame, & as long as they' re going multiplatform, they' re gonna want to make them as equal as possible. Possible, but not probable is what I' m getting at.

The game shown so far is only for PS3 and 360 I think. Nothing' s been shown of a Wii title but I' ll be surprised if there isn' t one using the Wii remote.

The last I heard was that a Katamari game was going to XBL.

The only thing is I' m not sure if it was the old Katamaris, bite-sized versions, or that the new Katamari would be distributed thru XBL.

Practically every game did, it' s the largest bottleneck on any console by far.
