If Killzone or some other amazing PS3 mystery title gets set for November, they' ll counter early with Halo for sure. They don' t seem to take it as much of a threat, but it' s not like they take too many chances with their game release strategy anyway.

Halo 3 has the potential to be 360 biggest selling title. Halo 2 sold 2.4M in it' s first 24 hours and has sold 9+M to date, so it' s still a super important franchise.
Buuuuuuut, Microsoft are in a position where they actually don' t need Halo now. It could be argued that new IP' s like Gears of War are now far more important to 360' s success than Halo 3.

I want halo 3 because halo 2 was the closest thing to a great online game. I hate the way gears has it where its hard to find a game with your friends, and i like the ranking system in halo 2. It kinda makes you get more addicted in my opinion

The Halo hype machine must have left me behind; I don' t understand why people are so high in it. I' ve played both of the game sup to press and they were good but not the best games ever. I' ll probably get Halo 3 and enjoy it quite a bit but for some reason I can’t get massively excited over a new Halo game.

I' m ready to take whatever flaming may hit, but I' m not a major fan of the original Halo. I like ironsights/scopes on at least one of my weapons, & I didn' t mind the dual-weilding thing at all. Sure, the only reason I play the campaign mode is to glitch the mess out of Zanzibar, but the online still keeps me going.
