What' s the betting that they will up the price of gold membership when M$ realise that 90% of PC gamers actually have an XBL gold account so they won' t make anymore money?

I mentioned it yesterday in my " Halo 2 for PC" thread. This is more direct though. What' s the betting that they will up the price of gold membership when M$ realise that 90% of PC gamers actually have an XBL gold account so they won' t make anymore money? I was wondering that myself. I wouldn' t expect it too soon, but I wouldn' t be surprised if they raised the rate a bit once they started seeing a decent PC userbase. But who knows, maybe by then they will have added enough features that it is justifiable. Only time will tell.

No. Either way they have to renew their subscription each year so they really wont be losing much. Plus they have nubcakes that will pay $8 a month which = $144 per year and then people paying $20 for 3 months = $80 per year

It would have been better to only need one live account and you to be able to customise live to also show your pc content etc.. if you wanted - although this doesnt give MS an opportunity to sell the same product twice to different people. I wonder how the infrastructure differs - I bet it is not as established as live... but that the content will grow much faster

Hold up, you guys are happy to pay for something that was allready free? Pc gaming online was mostly free, I cant see who would want to pay for something they allready have.

Yea I was shocked that they weren' t going to make online PC gaming over Live for free. Who' s going to pay for that, unless they really like Halo 2, Shadowrun and Uno. I bet a lot of PC gamers also have a 360 though...
