Kojima has officially stopped taking his meds
-
Feb 16, 2007 17:47
" Imagine a large town where half the inhabitants are zombies. Users would subscribe, get inside the town and get bitten. At that stage they become undead and can' t control their character - all they can do is modify the camera angles." So far, so very, very Kojima. " They' d see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch!" Koj continues. " The only way they could end it is by opening another account, hunting themselves down and killing themselves. Of course, the problem is that your second character can get bitten as well." LINK Huh?

Include it as a bonus minigame in MGS4. Way sweeter than any freakin monkey. Seriously though... WTF!?

It' s the same thing as Metal Gear... You spend 80% of the game watching.. He' s replaced the terrorists with Zombies, and the only difference is you get the joy of paying out of your eyeballs. Genius Kojima, you flippin' psycho.
There are two rules to success: 1. Never tell all you know.

Wow, cool. Sounds like dead rising, but with a lot more real world urgency. Granted, I hope there' s no fee for opening a new account or cancelling an old one otherwise it could end up like The Matrix Online. (Oooohhhh!! Burned you Wachowskis!)

It could be a lot of fun, and fun to play/watch, but IMO it would need to give you at least some form of control in zombie form. Whether it be to coordinate with other zombies, or whether or not your zombie will feed his hunger by eating a corpse, or going out to find fresh meat. Also, I would really enjoy going and murdering my zombie character. Heck, if you wanted, you could make a whole ton of zombies in the same area wearing the same clothes, so long as it doesn' t cost anything.

" They' d see their character attacking humans and have to pay just to watch!" Koj continues. This sounds a lot like it involves money. Unless Kojima is speaking metaphorically in that you ' pay' by enduring an unhealthy increase in blood pressure through the sheer frustration of ' playing' a ' game' in which you can only control the camera angle. But I' m pretty sure he was just pulling the reporter' s leg.
