It looks okay, I just don' t understand why they' re using a cell-shaded appearance rather than a pure liquid metal. I' d like to be looking at shiny all the way through the game. The thick edge-lines on the globs look like they' d make it difficult to determine exactly where the edge of your glob is.

I agree. I' m guessing that the edges might appear too jagged and not very smooth if it didn' t have that black ring around it. With an SDTV I don' t think it would cause a problem not having the black around it, but with component cables and an HDTV, it might point out the flaws.
