Konami cancel 5 PS3 games
-
Jan 11, 2007 00:34
According to Famitsu, coming via Gamefront, Konami have canceled development of: Gradius Coded Arms: Assault Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu (baseball game that' s big in Japan) Unidentified new action title Unidentified new RPG Now, Coded Arms has already been rumoured to have been canceled. Gradius being canceled would only be bad for people like myself and ofcourse Terry, and i doubt anybody here would play Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu anyway. The action title and RPG were announced projects but we' ve never heard any details about them. If it' s true then it sucks and it could be an indication of problems. Not technical problems or anything, i' m just wondering whether Microsoft have some involvement. Konami isn' t exactly a huge company and i wouldn' t put it past Microsoft to buy them. Note that two Wii games are also rumored to have been canceled; an action game and an RPG. With IP' s like Gradius, Pro Evolution, Metal Gear Solid, Dance Dance Revolution and Silent Hill, Konami is a developer Sony can' t afford to lose. Lets hope this is untrue or that there' s a good reason for it.

Gradius or grandia, one of those i played on the dreamcast, the 2nd game,it was great.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

Not cool! More proof that it is very expensive to produce games for the PS3. Not that I care for any one of those though.

I have pretty strong gut feeling MS will either be buying Capcom or Konami this generation. If MS buys Capcom Sony will almost assuredly pick up Konami. Not so sure about the other way around though.

I think this is the rigth path, they should focus on the great frinchises, when i first hear about Coded Arms in the PS3 i was like WTF??? who are u selling that to??? there are so meny Coded Arms fans to sell over 600 000 copys of the game??? Konami should focus on Silent Hill, Castlevania and a few others, if they try to sell new IP´s in an expensive console and with a short installed base now, every gameits gonna flop and the konami-SONY retaionship would be hurt.

Capcom doesn' t and probably can' t be bought they are probably the third largest developer/publisher behind EA and Nintendo. However Capcom will probably stick with the 360 since right now that is the only console that has proven to them there is profit.

It could even be both, seeing as Konami aren' t going to bring out a pro evo for the PS3 and Dead rising still is (As far as I am aware) a 360 exclusive, Sony seem to be losing face with most of the software houses at the moment.

...what' s the difference between Halo 1 and Halo 2 ? ' Microsoft game-studios' ... There actually is a few minor differences... 1.) Halo 2' s campaign sucked 2.) On Halo 1 Blood Gulch was awesome, but Coagulation sucks on halo 2 3.) Halo 1 actually required skill to use sniper and rocket, halo 2 doesn' t 4.)Halo 1' s Shot gun and pistol was practically unstoppable (unless they were using one too), while on halo 2 they both sucked 5.)Ofc Halo 2 has live play 6.) Halo 1 had better graphics on certain details such as the grass and characters(if you look at it the spartans in multiplayer often have different speeds, heights, weights )

People own property on the moon, money buys everything that can be had. As long as the dollar amount has enough zeros, you can have it. Name one thing that someone owns that can' t be bought.

You think a rich guy can' t pay a professional thief to steal the pen from you without you even noticing? You can buy anything with money, directly or indirectly, if you wont sell the pen to the guy, it wouldn' t be hard to find pay someone to steal it from you, and he' s gonna have the god damn pen one way or another.

Without sounding to gay and philosophical, Money cannot by you TRUE love, and Money can certainly not buy my opinions, if I voice my opinions in public no one can buy them as they have already been made, if I don' t air them in public then no one knows what they are and therefore no one can buy them as they are in my mind. So at the end of the day I take it M$ didn' t buy capcom then.

And you just have to ask, why would anyone, say me, want to change your opinion of something? If my goal is to silence you because I dont want you to speak against me I can just have you killed, that works just as well as changing your opinion. Like I said, money can be anything, directly or indirectly.

Besides " love" is a cheap chemical in our brain. There' s nothign special about love that you can' t have by eating a few pounds of chocolate.

Yes you are right if my opinions are made public, but if they are not then you will never know therefore having a person killed would be pointless, as you would never know if they were with you or against you, hence you cannot buy a person opinions. That is a very said state of affairs if you think that love can be created by eating a gargantuan amount of chocolate.....are we talking chocolate M&M' s, if so I am sold.

o0Ok...this is a different kind of ' off topic' debate now isnt it? Usually when things go off topic it involves very very harsh things...not the relevence of " LOVE" . Tho Valentines Day is one month off, still. However, arn' t we starting a bit early?

# Gradius # Coded Arms: Assault Wow those games are huge. Konami definitely cant afford to stop making any more games. Without Kojima productions konami would suffer great.
