..Additionally, Japanese magazine Shonen Jump has published some new images also, which i think are from the newest trailer (yet to be released publicly).. ...One of the images is of a dude with a black bandanna, who is rumoured to be the games second main character:

• The pretty main female protagonist is named " The Lighting" due to her being blessed by the Crystal of light.

• Tetsuya Nomura has unofficially hinted at a sooner, rather than later Japanese release.

• According to Square Enix President Yoichi Wada, the storyline will focus on " those who resist the world."

Meh...So, are those " ReEAL INgAMe GRAPHx!?!" . I have always hated Final Fantasy, but I like to see Square pull another prank on its so-called Fans with Pre-Rendered images or FMV' s. And trust me...They fall for it. Or they did anyway, I remember FFVII and VIII.

Yeah... none of that is ingame. It' s running on Square' s overly powerful workstations. Square has said that they won' t be showing the the game running in realtime for quite some time. My guess is not until at least E3 possibly even the end of the year. Don' t expect this game to be out until the end of 2008. Everything shown so far that has the menus and such are just tests using the new engine.

Go for it. Also, if the translation is right, this game is programmed for exit in 2007 -- sooner than we thought, but you must remember how far Final Fantasy XII was pushed back.

Remember FF12 has been delayed here in EU for over 3 years now and still isn' t out.

2nd last time they showed their trailer at e3 we later got an admited comment from the dev that what they show was how they wanted the game to look,but is not by far final,also some of it was CGI they said.

Since the PS3 is region free u may as well import the game.

I belive the game has serious chances of coming Q4 2007 but who knows??? FF XIII and FF Versus XIII are the only 2 huge proyects in Square now, i guess they have a huge lot of people working in the game, mayve over 170 guys but the again who knows.

I belive FF XIII will come to japan late 07/early 08 and FF Versus XIII mid 08

But 360 is also regions free still i cant import BD,only works for the Asian 360' s.

....but what the actual visuals will be like seems to be far more confusing though... ....i know that Square have spent a lot of time and money building their own engine specifically for both versions of XIII... ...it' s named the " White Engine" (which they' re still working on) and apparently is supposed to be a pretty big deal, so i' m willing to stick my neck out and say that the final game will look similar, perhaps even better to this:

Everytihng in that picture looks like it can be performed on the PS3 IMO. Maybe not the girls hair, but the rest.

Yeah but that game is not on the PS3 and it' s not a Final Fantasy game, therefor it can look much better than FFXIII....

The White Engine is incredible. I' ve seen it running on workstations through some video that was shown. Really several of those screens are very possible. Technically they are very impressive but not mind numbing like everyone is making them out to be. It' s an incredible looking game but the textures aren' t insanely impressive for the most part and the poly counts are only really pushed on the main character especially in her face. The game just has an absolutely outstanding art style which makes the game so impressive.

The game will definitely look great and I' m sure the gameplay will be awesome. I' m really looking forward to the game. People just need to realize none of this is the actual game yet.

The engine allows for CG to be generated in realtime (meaning that its using assets rather than streaming 1080p video), but it feeds into the combat too. It' ll be like Advent Children' s fight scenes, but since it' s realtime it' s free from the limitations of repeated pre-scripted animations. What they can do with it god only knows but since it' s not even going to be here until 2008 at the earliest we can probably expect something really special. Square almost always deliver.
