Dislike 360 Fanboys and 360 = Mainly judges games by screenshots. Overlooks if a game is techically the deepest game ever made and also the most gorgeous (when seen running). by screenshots that dont do it justice. IE saying a game looks plastic..

Edit: Oh crap.... You already said it..

I love the lgraphics in Virtua Fighter.
At least there' s one game where the characters don' t look like cartoon characters. Sure, they look a little plastic but that doesn' t bother me much. I don' t think it' s that bad anyway.
The stages look awesome too. Maybe not technically, but the design is gorgeous. Boring? I' d say it' s classy

There' s going to be a lot of screenshot comparisons when that comes out, heh.

Glad it' s coming to 360 though too, since I never intended to get a PS3 at launch. Like you all said though, I' m still waiting on the announcements on MGS4 and DMC4!

This will save me £££££' s

So you' re not getting a PS3 after all f3??

This is one of the few needed nails in the proverbial coffin for Sony. Happy it is coming to 360, wasn' t going to get a PS3 for it anyway so now I can actually play it without the PS3 :P

Not now, only if the 360 conversion turns out to be crap, inwhich ill very much doubt, being developed by AM2.

Hemoraging exclusives, is the PS3 D.O.A.? Rumors of MGS4 aren' t just smoke either, I for one expect to see a 360 version (probably not as good but a port anyway), got to pay those development costs somehow. Can SONY really afford the mega$$$$$ to keep it exclusive? Keep in mind they' ve got legal issues and they' re taking a bath on console sales.

As much as I enjoy watching a fat, bloated, arrogant corporation stumble around like a fat, drunken, slob of a barfly trying to negotiate a path to the nearest urinal, it worries me. I am pretty happy with my 360 and have no burning desire to play anything exclusive to PS3. Microsoft is giving me the warm fuzzies right now. How long you think that' s going to last if SONY screws up so royaly there is no PS4? Who will provide competition? Nintendo? The Wii is great but c' mon, 480p?It' s flat out under powered to be ones primary console. Maybe they make so much money this gen they can afford to take a big hit on their next console. Maybe Apple gets in the game? igame sounds like a bit of a longshot to me. Maybe Panasonic gives it another try? SHUDDER. I digress.

It' s all enough to make me.... want to help SONY out and buy a PS3. Maybe after one or two price cuts. Anyway, VF on 360. AAA exclusive goes Multi-Platform. SONY needs to grab a couple the other way. Bioshock?

Right! The second I saw this announced I thought that you might have that exact reply. Good job! I hope the 360 version turns out to be as good or better than the PS3 version. I don' t care about online play at all.

Didnt Doa4 have some horrible lag? or, maybe the game is so fast, that the puny interweb cannot comprehend the advanced moves of Doa. Ha Ha Ha! I laugh at you interweb.

Does anybody outside japan cares about this??? i cant find a thread about this in the 360 forums of gamespot, gametrailers.

my guess its that the 360 version will be even better than the PS3 version since in the PS3v they are not taking any advantage of the PS Store, not even to sell items like in the VF terminal whitch suck, if u can buy items in the 360v and u cant in the PS3 SEGA can go to hell.

You know, f3hunter, he wasn' t even directly dousing VF5; only the overly shiny graphics (or washed out graphics in some cases) of this gen games, which is a pretty accurate statement =/

Any game Fanboy = Makes exaggerated, absolute statements like this:

Overlooks if a game is techically the deepest game ever made and also the most gorgeous

Which in the end, makes people DOUBT both the fanboy and the game itself due to silliness

IE saying a game looks plastic

Just because the characters have pores and facial hair doesn' t mean it still doesn' t look plastic. As far as I can tell, no game designer YET has the brains to actually add in the skin translucency required to make realistc looking skin Sweat do not maketh the realistic.

Back on-topic: It' s not really helpful that the only iteration of VF I ever played was prolly VF2 (possibly 3, I really have no idea, it was ugly by today' s standarads though) in an arcade once. And just using Lion Raphael to poke people...

But I appreciate a solid beat-em-up. VF5 would at least give me a better fighting experience than DOA [:' (]

Yes, just check xbox.com, oxm, teamxbox among others. so many western players live and die for this game, for many it is THE beat em up[Fighters megamix for me!]

I also dont see them using live for anything, maybe a leader board for time trails but thats it. Im pissed off with the whole DLC at the moment anyways.

The lack of online play is disappointing. But considering there is a frame counter for use in training, even the slightest amount of lag would throw everyone off their game.

People, who interfere and try to talk about a game they obviously know nothing about, usually make comments like:

Any game Fanboy = Makes exaggerated, absolute statements like this:
quote:

Which in the end, makes people DOUBT both the fanboy and the game itself due to silliness
.

Anyone knows the ins-outs of the VF series and how its built-up over 12 years of gameplay, collision mechanics to the super-deep levels of VF4: Final tuned and (now VF5, which is even deeper).. simply wouldn’t argue against such a claim.

To fully master one character in VF (or be a VF master), it will take, not months, but YEARS.. Ive been using Akira for about 2 years in Final Tuned and im STILL learning new little techniques.. Then add even more complexity as every different fighter you fight and every different player that you fight, you have to adapt the different counter-techniques, play styles you have learnt/ mastered.

Then, after all this learning the game still offers the other 16 characters to do this all again, with all different play mechanics. ..Seriously, even thinking about the depth of VF gives me a headache.

I did, they are more exited about SONY losing the exclusive than they are about the game comming to the 360, i wonder if the 360v will sell well...

It looks to me that the 360 version will be based in the C arcade rather than the B witch suks cos i dont feel like waithing until summer.

The DLC pwns in VF5, the virtua fighter terminal its awesome, really if SEGA supports the Terminal in the 360 and they dont do it in the PS3 SEGA can fuck themselves in the ass for all i care.

I would so laugh at your for investing that kind of time in a game but Im still playing Halo2 MLG so I cant.

VF is probably the deepest fighting game, hands down.

Also, the PS3 version will be time-exclusive it seems, so its not like a simaltaneous(sp) release.
I dont want to celebrate, I want to sell you hate.

Too bad the 360 controller sucks for fighting games. It' s perfect for the kind of games I like but fighting games is the one area where a dualshock kills the 360 controller.

Maybe Nyko or Madcat will release one of those controller converters so i can use a sixaxis with the 360 or vice versa. Damn that would be sweet...

Personally, I think depends on whether you' re talking about 2D or 3D fighting games ;).

For the smooth d-pad motions required in 2D fighting games I prefer the 360' s d-pad by far!
For the directional tapping motions in 3D fighting games like Virtua Fighter 2, the Dual Shock 2 gets the edge!

I don' t like the D-pad on the 360 for anything. It' s too loose and lacks definition, even navagation through menus with it is hard because it' s too easy to press more then one diraction at once. Often if I' m pressing " right" for example and it might input " down" or " up" .

Also the the trigger buttons are not ideal for fighters.

Maybe it' s just me, but 2d or 3d, the Sony D-pad suits me more for fighters. Which doesn' t really bother me as I don' t like fighters anyways and the 360 controller suits me better for everythign else.

Aren' t they about to release a Live Arcade stick for the 360? I think I might just buy one for VF5, if it' s actually any good (the stick).

Yeah, I' m a die hard vf fan, but I think that I wouldn' t have the same feel for vf5 on an xbox controller. The left and right trigger buttons are different. They need to come out with a more intuitive controller, and that' ll be better! But I am glad it' s coming on 360, that way I don' t have to fork out an extra 200 bucks for freakin' ps3.

Console controllers SUCK for fighting games, especally console controllers with triggers. Ok, so for games like DoA it doesn' t make much difference but for games like Virtua fighter and to a lesser extent Tekken where you need to have split second timing, inaccurate triggers, funky shoulder buttons and analog sticks/awful D-pads just don' t cut it.

For VF5, or at least to get the most out of VF5 you will need an arcade stick. PS3 is definitely getting one and i' m guessing Hori will do a 360 stick too like their DoA4 one.

apparently either: your talking about the controller for fighting games, have never used a 360 controller, or your used to having your fingers crippled on a sony controller

Why dont you go into to the Playside and D/l the 720P videos in action.. VF5 kills everything when you actually see the game running.

;

Its a japanese thing.. People actually collect and wear glow rings.. its like a power thing...

The very best or most confident VF players will wear them.. (in the game)

**look at me, im the baddest in here, my power even leaves trails** kinda thing.
