Guardian Heroes screenshots and music - Dec 17, 2006 05:28
I found this site when I was looking for a suiting picture to make an avatar of.
It' s in french, but you can look at screenshots from the game Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn, as well as listen to one of the music tracks. My nick " Ginjirou" is taken from one of the main characters in the game.

Randy is my favourite character but I chose to call myself Ginjirou here because how cool does " Randy" sound anyway? Not very.

This is Randy

If you have a Saturn and haven' t played this game then you really should.

Randy was your favorite???

Admittedly his spells kicked ass, but he' s so....GAY.

Great game, but the pixelization was annoying.

I kicked ass with Randy!
I liked juggling stuff with Randy' s staff and his spells just crushed everything that challenged me. And Nando (the rabbit) was fun to use as well.
And I liked his characteristics, even though he sometimes was a little gay.
" Not too bad for a little shepherd boy eh?"

That sums you up then..

GH' s was one of the most unique 2d games games ever created. And bloody addictive to boot.

Classic.

Guardian Heroes has a 89% ranking on
gamerankings.com
That' s pretty good for such a game.
Of course, it deserves a 99% but some reviewers are just retarded .

Yeah, I could never get into Guardian Heroes. It had one good music track and the graphics were absolutely awful. This wouldn' t have been the case if it weren' t for the pixellation, and they could have gotten rid of it by drawing the characters bigger and scaling them smaller (the Saturn could definitely of handled that) but instead they drew the characters small and (horribly) scaled them bigger. It' s like they WANTED to show everyone " Hey look, we' re using real scaling! Look how blocky our characters are! You can' t do that without real scaling! We are so great!"

It' s like they think that (using Bonk as an example) we' d prefer this game:

over this game:

I rented it. But then a few years later after I heard about everyone blowing their load over how great the game is, I borrowed it from a friend and still couldn' t get into it. Trust me, I' d like to love it since I am a Sega whore.
