Europe snaps up 350,000 Wii' s in 2 days!!
-
Dec 14, 2006 06:30
From 1up http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3155877 Nintendo has successfully launched Wii in all three major territories and all signs point to success. Today, Nintendo Europe announced they had sold more than 350,000 machines across Europe in just two days. By comparison, the United States snapped up just over 600,000 in a week' s time. That' s a pretty incredible launch adoption rate. BTW Look at the DS go!! And where was Nintendo DS in all this? Selling more than Wii, apparently, as Nintendo Europe says the dual-screened handheled enjoyed its best week ever, selling a monumental 515,000 units in a single week. Since March of last year, the DS has moved 8.5 million units and its numbers don' t seem to be slowing down. Somehow, they' re going up.

While Dumb MS / Sony go for the Tech battle.. Nintendo are snaping up masses of new gamers under their nose, every second.. New gamers, who love the DS, love the Wii, love nintendo.. and will grow up to follow them.. Intuitive Gameplay > HD, graphics Nintendo are by far the winners of this gerneration. **Goes back to play Zelda:TP**

It sure is.. Amazing game, easily the best single player game to come out of this generation.. Im actually doubting there would ever be one to match it TBH.

I wasn' t very impressed by Wii Sports so I hope they don' t keep using it as a showcase game for the Wii. Tennis, I just swinged the Wii-mote randomly and won all the time. Golf, no feeling at all. Especially when putting. I liked Bowling and Baseball though.

Its a FREE demo Ginjirou, What did you expect!!! If customers got a complete gaming experience from a pack in then less people would buy actual games which would suck for Nintendo and Thirdparties. Actually I still enjoy Wii sports. My bro and i play it when we can (after i' ve had my Zelda fix for the day - That Zelda magic!!!). Golf is actually very good if you give it chance. I' ll admit the accuracy isn' t perfect but its close. Putting is tough, but not impossible. You just have to practice thats all. Soon you will be getting Birdies and Eagles in no time. I don' t play bowling since my Bro bowled a 290, he' s too good, although in the training section i managed to strike the 91 pin set!!! Oh yeah!! IF these sports titles don' t do it for you i' m sure there will be dedicated versions that will provide a better experience in future. Yeah tennis is a little overrated. Don' t play it much anymore.
