It' s a shame it only sells in Japan, it will have piss-poor sales everywhere
around the world except there.

Shame on you for not paying attention to the U.S. sales of Virtua Fighter 4 on the PS2, it actually sold quite decently

Unless I' m mistaken VF is a Fighter not a Beat-em-up

But seriously...that guy got owned...horribly.

This is actually my first viewing of any gameplay, looks awesome.

It looks shit compared to actual HD 720/60p gameplay...

Everything on Youtube looks like shit. Considering how fast they are expanding they should increase the memory limit per video and put relative limits on the possible length of the videos to encourage better quality, as most of their videos are compressed way too much. A lot of them are too long anyways, people post too much shit there.

Watching that video makes me realise how much Virtua Fighter sucks! No skill involved at all.
I mean, you only have to learn one throw move and do it over and over and over and over again and you win.
It' s even easier than button mashing!

eternal champion was one of the first games i ever played , i was so much impressed when i played it, coming back years later to the game made me realise how bad it is, street fighter or mortal kombay kicks its ass, and the AI is just fucking irritating, its worse than moral kombat , it counter whatever move you pull out ... so much cheating back in the days .

I can' t remember the game that well just that when I did play it, it was great maybe because the graphics were good. I don' t know. Anyway since I was only like 7 when I played it and that I haven' t played it since, I say you are right Abasoufiane. It probably did suck!

Vf took a step back IMO after losing the more open areas from VF3.

Dead or Alive is the best fighting game, but just because it' s the only one I can play.

On Topic: Even though I don' t have the fighting game skills required to get the most out of it, I' m still very much looking forward to playing VF5.

Dam, even tho we dont agree on alot of things, you certainly understand what good Fighters are about!!!

As for the the haters, even that little video shows things/moves/gameplay mechanics that other fighters dont even attempt to do, but your too casual and inexperienced to even notice them, so your views really dont count!!

Whoa stop reading my mind dude.

That maybe so, but VF5 has taken back far more than VF4 lost even without undulation coming back. For professional and experienced players the uneven surfaces did occasionaly get in the way of the fight, though I thought they were the next step in fighting games.

At least in terms of personality VF5 feels more like 2 and 3 in so many ways, and the music has got that VF feel combined with new ground also. It' s gonna be awesome, hell the best game out next year on any console for me.

VF6, that' ll have the undulation returning. It' s the only logical step, well combined with a little real-time physiscs also.

The two things I hate most about beat-em ups sometimes, are easy repetitive throws and losing a round through a bitch kick to the foot! Both of which were in that clip. :P

That and the juggles in Tekken. Kazuya could uppercut you 4 times before you even had a chance to recover!

Tekken 5 had to be my favourite beat-em up though. VF series not so much, sry!

Um, the guy he was fighting was a noob, actually they were both noobs, I would have raped him in a more spectacular way than just spamming that throw.
