No More Heroes - Dec 04, 2006 02:17
Killer 7 was one of the most stylish games of the previous generation. It had issues and it was too linear but Suda' s next game ' No More Heroes' (formely called ' Heroes' ) looks to rectify any qualms you may have had with his previous cellshaded outing.

Free-roaming, tracking your target, sword play etc, ...it sounds cool and it looks kickass...

Ack, as soon as I read Killer 7 I was in, but none of the screens are working! Fix it quick!

Is it a Wii game or is this one going multi format?

Scans re-hosted using Imageshack.

Wii exclusive baby!

Suda made it clear at the time that he didn' t agree with the decision by Capcom' s management to port both Killer 7 and RE4 to PS2. This time is looks as if he' s making a game that' s unportable - i don' t see how it could work with a normal controller.

It looks superb.

I had heard about Heroes, but hadn' t ever seen anything from it. Nice pics Majik.

This looks really really nice compared to what Wii is bringing to the table now.

Looks great from the scans. Found an old TGS vid on youtube:

The main character' s voice is a bit.. :s

And found this old interview too:

Theres a worrying bit where he says the sword stuff will be pre-scripted animations controlled by flicks again though - like Red Steel. Why?? [:' (] Might have changed his mind about that by now however...

I' m gonna wait till i see some reviews before i even consider buying this game. Red Steels ' failure' still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Still theres potential.

Red Steel was rushed for launch. I would never even consider doubting Suda 51.

I hope your right Majik, BTW i haven' t played Killer 7 (stopped buying GC games before it came out) so i' m not sure what to expect. Will there be 1:1 sword play (YES PLEASE!!)? and shooting (watched the link Choupolo gave, very stylish indeed). If it delivers (close to) what i expected from Red Steel then i will be extremely happy. Your unreserved backing of Suda, is very reassuring!

Why can' t all fighting games incorporate the same control scheme from Project H.A.M.M.E.R The way it mimics your arm movements for the hammer is freaking amazing! Absolutely the kind of control Nintendo promised us!

If everything is pre-scripted, I' d rather push buttons
