Daniel Craig is sooo James Bond!
-
Dec 03, 2006 07:19
Saw ' Casino Royale' and fuckn enjoyed it! Daniel Craig IS James Bond. And Martin Cambell knows how to bring out a Bond obviously. Ian Flemmings would be proud. So yeah ignore Chickapoo88' s view of the movie and go see it! You can' t trust her view anyways because she enjoy' s the more recent flicks.

I seen it Two Weeks Ago, This is a Movie I will have to BUY. Yes that good. Top marks, but only negative part of the film is the start, it takes too long to get into it. I agree, Daniel Craig is one of the best bonds. Also the funniest bond yet.

Along with Sean Connery definitely one of the best Bonds. Like the old style nature of the film too, makes it fit in with the first Bond films made. Can' t wait to see how they develop the series.

Last scene before credits just oozed James Bond, loved the suit and gun. I have a problem with the Film tough, Casino Royal is a Prequal to all other Bonds right? yet its set in 2006 and even 9/11 is mentioned, how can this be when the others bonds are set in different years, before 2006. To be best of my knowledge anyway.

To be best of my knowledge anyway. Think of it more as a departure from the other movies, though it is James Bond it is a completely separate entity...the starting point being a lot more present. I did see flaws in this, such as the fact that Bond has always existed during the KGB era...and this sorta eliminates that.

Dood! Are you seriously analyzing a James Bond movie!? I mean... seriously! Well It just brothered me when I was watching it. At least it didnt have any rockets on top of cars racing around a huge frozzen landscape. and Ice Hotels. And People with Bullets in their brains. and many many more silly things.

To be best of my knowledge anyway. Continuity has always been disregarded in James Bond films. Hey, the ' James Bond' changes faces and personality about once every decade or so, so let' s not talk about continuity After Casino Royale, I watched Golden Eye on cable. Yeah, I can see how Martin Cambell brings out the best in the Bond films (I absolutely, HATED, the last Pierce Brosnan one. Was it Tomorrow Never Dies? Or some other misnomer?) I know this is sick but, that torture scene with the...' knotted rope' ...was wicked cool

the villian had a point too. Why go thru all that trouble to torture somone when such a simple method can do just as much if not more damage. That scene so dark so twisted yet they managed to make it funny? WTF?! And thats a WTF in a good way.

Daniel Craig is an excellent Bond, really bringing a psycho/sociopath style to him that we havn' t seen before. Casino Royale really blew me away though, I think it' s one of the best films I' ve seen this year.
