I also use Mozilla Firefox for my laptop and desktop PC. Occasionally I have to use IE but thats on a very rare faint almost impossible occasion.

Wow, the whole world has changed to Mozilla Firefox it seems. I though this was an IE6 world. What about everyone else? BTW does the site design (on the kikizo homepage) look screwed up on Macs running IE? Anyone experienced this? Some spacing problems near the top around the search bar area? Hmm?

I have both Mac and Windows here at the house, so I did some screen captures. OK, here is what they look like: MAC: Firefox - Mac OS X. My favorite. Camino - Mac OS X. Another popular Mac browser. Safari - Mac OS X. The most popular Mac browser, unfortunately. Opera 7.5 - Mac OS X. Becoming popular. Internet Explorer - Mac OS X. Microsoft no longer updates this browser for the Mac. WINDOWS: Firefox - Windows 2000. My favorite for Windows. Internet Explorer 6 - Windows 2000. Default standard. Netscape 4.7 - Windows 2000. Oooold Netscape! Netscape 7 - Windows 2000. Current Netscape. Opera 6.0.5 - Windows 2000. The last good version of Opera, in my opinion. As you can see, many browsers have the " spacing problems" near the top that Adam speaks of, even on Windows. I never noticed until he pointed it out.

Mozilla Firefox here, build 9.0, and it smokes my IE. IE always had pop-ups and those damn toolbars that would just add themselves and I don' t get that with Firefox. Not to mention that IE would lock up on my clan page 5/10 if I didn' t give it a chance to sit there for a second on the splash page.

ORIGINAL: Terry Bogard IE6? Wow, I guess I' m way behind with my IE4 :) haha that is what I' m using on my laptop. If I use this thing too often I have to reformat it--it is many years old. It does seem like a lot of people are using FireFox these days, but I liked Slimbrowser better.

What is interesting is that it is like that only for the main page, not the forums.

Jesus christ. It seems that some browsers, no matter how damn clever they think they are with their cool new features, simply REFUSE to follow simple, black and white HTML code. There are rules to the code, conventions that IE6 follows logically almost always. What the hell these other browsers are thinking when they interpret code to display the page like that is anyone' s guess. I though we were well past these kind of problems these days. Sigh. Very annoying as Kikizo is all hand coded and this is just plain frustrating. Thanks for those screen grabs though Joe, they are really useful. *hopes the world would just use IE6... and that MS would add the features that these other increasingly popular browsers like firefox and opera offer, so that designers could design with RELIABLE, LOGICAL interpretation!!!* Utter bell ends!

Actually I think the " problem" is with the way different browsers are handling tables. Why they don' t all handle them the same way is beyond me. I have a nifty little application for the Mac that will take any bitmapped image (like a JPEG or whatever) and convert it into HTML using only tables, and each column is assigned a different HTML color representing the pixel. safari renders the HTML image fine, but other browsers stretch it or don' t display it at all. If only they could all handle tables the same.

I am using Mozilla Firefox now too. Its way better then IE6. After you get the Java plug-in its all around better. The only problem is the built in popup blocker stops windows like the " reply" box from appearing on the screen. I had to start IE6 up just to tell you that. So basically im pushing for no popup window approach to forum posting. Like open in same window or something. Firefox does rock though. I really really like it alot more then MS' crap.

Okay, now I have a problem. " Member I said I use Firebird? Well I downloaded the upgrade to 9.0 and nothing works anymore. It shows it downloaded properly, no virus on the system; however, it won' t open (icon on desktop). Nothing. Poof! So, I' m posting today with Netscape 7.1 and I don' t like it. Any ideas what went wrong? Anyone? I want my Firefox back . Never encountered any problems before.

I assume you have Windows. Go into your control panel and select " Uninstall Software" and uninstall Mozilla Firefox. Download 9.1 again and reinstall from scratch. If that doesn' t work, you might want to check your porn stash. Firefox will not run if you have more than 250 Gigs of porn on your computer.

Already uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times. I made my hubby get rid of his porn stash ages ago, so that can' t be it. LOL I made sure there were no other editions of Mozilla on my computer; however, nothing works.

Buy a new computer. Firefox will not run on anything that cost less than $4000.

i never even cared for firefox. i use Opera to view Kikizo but if i post then i use Netscape (opera isn' t supported by kikizo, the post pop up doenst pop up). Plus , the latest version of Netscape gives a bigger browser and simpler controls. you should try it

Actually, I did use Netscape 7.1 for a few days while my Firefox problem was being fixed, and it doesn' t compare, in my opinion, to my Firefox 9.0.1.

Did you download the complete version or the Java-less version? Who knows, maybe that could mean something? Actually the only thing that appears differently while browsing Kikizo with Opera is that the text seems more squeezed together.
