New Wii in 2007 to enable DVD playback

Unnecessary if you ask me.
Everyone who wants a DVD player already has one. This will only make the launch unit feel like second rate units.

I agree, people will just have second thoughts about buying the first Wii. I hate when they uppgrade the console afterwards, so the people that stood in line a whole night get' s a crappier piece of hardware.

That is so unlike Nintendo.... Are you sure Miyamoto or the other guys
weren' t misquoted at a launch party or something??
