Initial D on PS2?

I know Initial D version 1 was due on PS2 in Japan soon but it seems to have gone all quiet?
Version 2 of the arcade machine is already complete so I assume they' re holding the home version back as the arcade original is still raking it it?

I believe Initial D is out any day now actually... we' re going to do a big review for that as well. My accomplice reckons he' s the hottest Initial D player in London. He does beat all the ' hardcore' Chinese players hands-down. However I have yet to introduce him to you Mr Boiston, now that would be an interesting race.

Oh good news! I fear my skill on Initial D isn' t what it should be at the mo I' m afraid. I' ll still give a stiff challenge but with a car thats not fully tuned all may be lost.
I' ve also been working on Battle Gear 3, now that is " Hardcore" .
