Contra released o XBLA on Wednesday

Featuring eight levels of jungle environments as well as frozen tundra and steel fortresses, plus bumped up graphics and sound for the 360, the game will also let you play with your buddies via the new multiplayer cooperative gameplay, either on the same console or through XBL.

* Xbox Live features: Players can see how they rank against their friends with worldwide leaderboards and achievements
* 12 achievements: Contra offers achievements which range from straightforward to challenging for players of all skill levels
* Players can opt to play the original arcade game or play in the enhanced mode with improved graphics and sounds

Rated E10 by ESRB, Contra will be available for download for 400 MS points in all regions beginning Wednesday, November 8, at 8 a.m. GMT / 9 a.m. CET.

Hey i played this in the arcades on a holiday in spain back in 90, it was supercool, it has to be since i remember it and i was only 10 at the time!
