will xbox360 hit 10 million units before ps3 is out?

Just saw the Quarterly Financial Report and instead of get you guys bored ... here is the numbers that was taken and uploaded by MS at their Pr xbox36+ site.

box 360 will be available in 36 countries for the holiday and our installed base through September is 6 million consoles worldwide (3.6 million in North America, 1.7 million in Europe and approximately 700,000 in the rest of the world.)
·As such, Xbox 360 is in an excellent position for the second quarter. By holiday 2006, we expect to have sold more than 10 million Xbox 360 consoles worldwide and have a catalog of 160 high-definition games. Our yearly guidance still implies that by the end of the fiscal year we expect to have sold 13 to 15 million Xbox 360 consoles since launch.



So since september,we can assume 360 has sold around 4 million units in America,and 2 million in europe,+ 300k more all aorund the world,sincet hey released it in more countries and 360 sales like crazy in australia.


Then we hit around 7 million.

Can 360 really reach 3 million more units until november 17?

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I have my doubts really, but maybe when people can' t get a ps3/hate sony for sony batteries/hate sony for lik-sang/disappointed by the system/realise the price is more than they can afford etc etc, then would-be ps3 owners instead get 360, and maybe that could rise.

They expect to ship 10 000 000 by the end of the year if I' m not mistaken. Id be very surprised if they sell that many before November.

I don' t give a shit which console sells better as I' ll probably end up buying all three sooner or later but if anyone is interested I found this site that keeps track of this stuff. Very plain, they estimate how many are being sold and each month they update the site with the real numbers. It will be more interesting once all three consoles are out.

I think it might be possible with the holidays just around the corner. I dont know if they' ll get quite 10 million but i think they' ll come close. I live in the middle of no-where and i know atleast 20 people that are getting 360 for christmas so i can imagine how many people in bigger cities are getting them.

They' ll probably hit that before Jan. 07, because of the PS3 shortages.

But, does it seem like the 360 is selling kind of slow? I mean only 3.6million in the US. Sure its half of all units sold, but you' d think that since this is " Microsofts" turf that they would of sold more by now? or is it just me?
