Games on Cell Phones - Oct 24, 2006 08:43
Yeah, I finally joined the cell phone market the other day, and after I had all my contacts worked out, voice mail, and some nice ring tones...I went to the download center and looked at the stuff to download.

Well, after a little while, I found the " games" section. I was like, FANTASTIC what to download! Well I downloaded " Brothers In Arms: INB" for the phone, and its not that bad. (Considering I have like an hour bus ride to school everday day) so its great. So, I was wondering, if there are any awesome games out there that I should consider purchasing for the phone...

Really depends on the phone model, plus the games provided by the service provider.

Mine' s one of the latest Nokia N-something series, can' t remember which. It came packed with Rally 3D, which is a decent 3D racing game (no big mechanics, but pretty fun courses). I d/l Final Fight (lol), which was too easy and boring. And as usual, Sudoku

Does your phone support Macromedia Flash? The Sudoku game is actually a Flash-based game on my phone, and apparently I can Flash games/movies/wallpapers for it by d/l direct from my com.

I only ever play, like, Bejeweled on my phone, because I never like the way anything else looks, or really - figuring out what number buttons coordinate to like arrow keys, etc.

Bomberman
Chessmaster
Alpha Wing
Atari Legends (collection of three old Atari classics)
Double Dragon EX
Empire Earth
Ms Pac.Man
Pacman
Ridge Racer
Space Invaders
Carmageddon
Paper Boy
Worms
The cell phone is like a retro gamer' s dream.

But you also have tons of awesome new games like
Alien Hominid
Super Real Tennis (Sega )
Connections
Sudoku
Trivial Pursuit
Mini Golf 3D
Doom RPG
Prince of Persia
Sims 2
hundreds of soccer and other sports games
hundreds of racing games
lots of poker games
Extreme Air Snowboarding 3D
Pub Pool 3D
Jewel Quest
Lumines Mobile
Master Mind
Worms Forts 3D
Lego Star Wars
XIII (mobile version of that cell-shaded game, really great!)
Splinter Cell Double Agent
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Rainbow Six

Those are just some of the games out there.
Of course, the games available differs depending on the model of your cell phone but most cell phones have great games nowadays.
IGN.com actually reviews cell phone games so you should take a look over there.

Um, all of the retro games, yeah. But I can' t stand to see a good game get ported to a cell phone. It' s just not the same. I' d love to play Orcs & Elves though, maybe you should look into that Ninja.

Don' t even mention it around Mass X. He will explain hwo I racked up a lot of money from downloading lots of games. Like a bill that was orignially 60 dollars some how jumped up to a hundred and two dollars. Opps.. Yet I haven' t learned my lesson and keep on spending more money on those games. Right now I have:
1) The Lemmings
2) The Apprentice
3) Surviving High School
and I assure you that there will be more.

I' ve limit myself to only download one game or other app a month (so I don' t end up paying too much). I might get Dig Dug or that Lemmings game next, just something to keep keep my boardum at bay on the bus.

Don' t you think that a DS or PSP will do a better job at keeping the boredom at bay then crappy mobile phone(proper name!) games.

I don' t carry around a DS at school because, really I don' t play games that often. I don' t have that much space in my locker and I throw my bag-pack around so that DS would probably last like 2days.

On the hour bus ride I' m either talkin to people...or if its basketball season (like now) I just bust out my homework or flurt with this girl, see. But since I have to carry this MOBILE phone around I might as well slap some music in the sucker and some games.
