I was going by what I had seen from both games as in gameplay videos..
I didn' t actually click on any of the screenshots...
They' re not gameplay shots???

That first screen of AC is gameplay, the Darkness one doesn' t look like it is...but it could be. I do agree though if the Darkness' graphics are as good as that screen then their textures are alot more amazing. But as it stands I haven' t really seen that detail in the gameplay trailer.

I was worried in the beginning that this game was going to be pretty run-of-the-mill, but I' m willing to give it a chance now.

 ..i thought Silvesri (the D' s Creator) had nuthin to do with the game, but then i just found this official cover he did for Play magazine ...this game is gonna bitch-slap ure fat Nintendo a$$...!

I don' t know what any of you all are seeing in that Darkness screenshot that you think looks better than the Assassin' s Creed screens.
In the Darkness screenshot, I see stretched textures on the ground and pipe on the left side of the screen, and there' s even a visible seam in the texture on the pipe.

The only problem with The Darkness in terms of graphics is the fact that the game is infact dark which will be a problem for the LCD owners with bad black levles (i.e. all of them).
CRT FTW!!! The two games have drastically different styles, so I' m not sure comparing them is quite fair. One has many-many NPC' s on a fairly bright screen at any given time with pretty nice looking visuals, and the other has really dark gritty scenes with a moderate amount of characters.
