XBL downtime 17th Oct - Oct 15, 2006 06:17

Apparently Live will be down for a day on Tuesday to add ' secret cool stuff' updates, but nothing to do with the dashboard. Hmm..

Please add unfounded speculation below. I think they will be releasing Gears of War early via digital distribution!

I wish (More like an insane hoping) that this is a much needed release of a Backwards compatability update (FREAKING MK ARMAGEDDON). Course it could be the 1080p support, although they said this wasn' t it :(

Yea the 1080p support would be welcome. Then I could play in native res on my monitor, and things would look a lot less blurry.

That' s a good point actually! I assume they' ll still charge us for it, and hope noone notices. They' ve probably written a clause for it in the end-user agreement that I never read!

You lose a day, but you get 13 months when you buy a 12 month subscription, and you get a free month when you first sign up to live, they give you 2 free months so you dont bitch about losing 1 day. I think they should give everyone some MS points for this garbage downtime.
