Final Fantasy 12 thread

Oct 07, 2006 10:42
here is my first hour already on the american version and i' m really impressed from the first impression i got, it' s weird but it' s had this star wars atmosphere specialy when looking at some characters and listening to the score in the cenematics, the game look fantastic for a ps2, and i' m pretty sure it' s a huge titlte, you know when you play a game and you got the feeling that says " This is gonna be one of those big games" well that' s the feelin i got. stay tuned.

From what ive seen it looks like a decent game, the graphics are nice! combat doesnt look too boring, though some of the enemies iv seen in trailers look sad! Too bad there are so many great games coming out, or id be inclined to try!

Sad as in so miserable, you' ll just walk by them to give them peace? Or sad as in poorly designed? The game looks great by the way, I' ll wait ages for the European one, as I am not big on importing...

Too bad it has no progressive scan :( be quiet about games that is to good for you.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

ORIGINAL: Tiz Like you didn' t know that it wasn' t turn based... What do you mean by that? I just asked a simple question, its like every time i post you always have to post something stupid after. I was asking because i havent seen anything about that game, i heard FF13 was not gonna be turned based so i figured id ask.

FF12 isnt turn based, it plays sort of like World of warcraft or similar rpg' s. I am looking forward to it.

Yes. It' s on alt.binaries.cd.image.playstation2.dvdiso showing that it came out 6 days ago, cant believe I didnt notice it. I' m downloading it as we speak. I' ve been wanting to play this game for a long time, not just cause I like it but because I always said it would be the last PS2 game I ever played, I' m playing Valkyrie Profile 2 now but meh, game isn' t as good as the first one so I' m moving on to FFXII, beating it, and when Im done I' m giving my PS2 away to some poor fuck' s kids.

Copy it to the hard drive! Wait... I don' t even remember if that works for dual layer games or not. It' s been forever since I powered up my PS2. EDIT: I did get Gran Turdismo 4 to work. And God of War.

I suppose. Anyway, I played for about an hour, graphics arent very good, but it is a PS2 game, Im too used to 360/PC graphics. The battle system is awfulll similiar to KOTOR. The voice acting is pretty good for a Japanese game. That is all. I deffinetely need to play this on an SDTV, it looks like complete shit on HDTV.

great to know that many of you got the chip isntaled, don' t have to wait a decade to play a game, i played 7 hours so far and this game rocks, teh combat system is by no means terrible, in fact it' s quiet good and it' s getting better and better the more you unlock stuff, the story is intriguing , the characters design is just awesome , the voices and acting are fantastics, graphics are really beautiful for a ps2 game. the music? it' s very similar to star wars score which is nice ( and some parts of the music are just Matrix theme .. you' ll notice yourselves) and so far there is no catching tune... ooh nobuo uematsu
