Animal sacrifice (in Viva Pinata!) - Oct 06, 2006 19:18
From 1up.com:

So, the Whirlms hook up and a stork delivers a baby worm, at which point a sparrow enters the town. Now, we haven' t actually seen this happen, but rumor has it, that before you can get the sparrows to get ' dey freak on do the romance dance, you have to sacrifice one of your worms to them! You have to sacrifice one of your own family of worms to appease the bird gods! And Microsoft wants kids to make these ethical choices. Should my fictional six-year-old son Dutch sacrifice the worm he bred, named and drew a tag on (Ally) so that two unnamed Sparrowmints can shake it up? Is this a video game or Sophie' s Choice?

Viva Pinata is more than pinata-life simulator; it' s an experiment in ethics. And this fall six to eight year-olds and 25 year-olds with the brain capacity of six to eight year olds (us) are in for a treat and an ethics lesson.

Have you unofficially named yourself King Majik?

Hehe, I knew there was a tiny bit of depth to Viva Pinata... So my sister can
make ethical choices (She loves those kind of games)

Cue EvilMan post:

" This game is garbage and is suited for f*ckwits with turds for brains that
only a mother could love.."

YAY ANIMAL SACRAFICES!!! EVEN BETTER THEY SHOULD GO ALL OUT AND HAVE A BLOOD ORGY!

Well I dont see nothing bad in sacraficing some my little bastards, could make this game more interesting. Not like you haaaave to. But if your gonna make an omelette you gotta break some eggs. So in this cae if you wanna " catch them all" you got kill a few worms. No problem I was planning on giving the poor fuckers a hellish existance anyways.

Ive been lurking, but seeing the way things have been headed I figured we could use every member who didnt spout fanboy garbage (even though I am a fanboy of certain games). Kikizo is one of the last forums with a true " community" feeling left and I would like to see it stay that way.

I hate to sound like a pompous, close-minded a-hole, but that was also my initial impression. I have about 0 faith in this game, and about 0 faith in Rare after the train wreck that was PDZ.

My prediction: This game will suck, and Quez will join this thread to defend PDZ

I don' t need to defend PDZ,we all know it was a " good" game ffs.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

PDZ made me cry after i turned down the regular edition and got the special edition that had no difference (except the cover of the special edition had a hard cover and more detailed joanna dark), and then came home and put it in and let the glitches go. I even tried it on xbox live and i still wanted to shoot myself.

Ha ha, King Majik reminds me of The King of the Cosmos. [from the Katarmi games]

I really did think he was gay, Rainbow Road?

One bad game? DK 64 and PDZ. Kameo was good but from Rare I expect great.

Let' s not forget " Grabbed by the Ghoulies" .

Honestly, I liked PDZ. It didn' t hold my attention for TOO long (like two levels or something) but it was cool. And I think the special edition case was TOTALLY worth it! Better than the Oblivion special edition case.
