Phantasy Star Universe supposedly comes out for X360 on October 24, I haven' t really played PSO since dreamcast put I put like 800 hours into it and I loved it, also hoping the single-player story is good.

had it on Gamecube, I came really close to buying the network adapter for Gamecube for that game with delusions that it might actually be supported by other games. I tried playing it as a single player as you eventually hit a wall. I didn' t like the controls or animations and the Dreamcast like colours (bright flurescent) turned me off. I like the idea of the game but I won' t get another one, its addictive without being fun, an MMO like evercrack. Besides there are too many games and my money and my schedual are both tighter then anticipated.

Nah it' s not addicting, it' s just plain fun.

I enjoyed every moment of PSO, addicting is when you play games like FFXI without actually enjoying everything you do. The game is pointless offline so you haven' t really played it.

That' s like rating Unreal Tournament based on the crappy single player modes.

I' m considering getting it. I really enjoyed PSO back in the DC days and played the beta for PC. I played it on xbox for a few months but it was kind of dissapointing.

Anyone know if you will have to pay a monthly fee for PSU? If not there is a decent chance i' ll get it.

PS2 players pay the same fee, for an inferior version.

Nope. PS2 players pay $108 for a superior version.

With the PS2 version, you get to play with more intelligent forms of life, as opposed to Xbox 360, where you can play with this type of player.

Owned.

LOL! Learn to do math. XD

PS2 = $9.00 x 12 = $108

Xbox 360 = ($9.00 x 12) + 50 = $158

American: But... but... math is hard!

Nah, the PS2 version costs $12.95 /month so you' re pretty much getting Xbox Live for free on 360. And it' s an inferior version.

Sega knows people still on PS2' s are dumb fucks so they can get away with higher pricing.

Nope. The PS2 version, the PC version and the Xbox 360 version all have the same subscription fee. The only difference is the Xbox 360 player will pay $50 extra for Xbox live.

So far, the subscription fee hasn' t been confirmed. If it is $12.95, it will be the same for all 3 platforms.

I just used $9.00 because that' s the example you gave.

Those are the rumoured prices.

Regardless, you dont need Xbox Live Gold for games with monthly fees. You can play them with Xbox Live Silver which is free, so you have no point.
