1 million Wii' s for US launch?

It' s certainly probable, from what we' ve heard at least.

Just means theres more Wiis to go around, great news for Euro and Australasian gamers who usually get the short end of the stick (no innuendo intended honest). Also means a true Worldwide release can and probably will happen, and that i' ll have a Wii to enjoy the Christmas break - ohh happy days!!!

I expect 800k of those to be sold within the first week...

Well if Nintendo decided to release 1 million Wii' s in North America, I guess they really want to see how many console is gonna be sold by launch day, before they want to ship 2+ millions more unit. I' m guessing that Wii is gonna do a better job then the Gamecube did.

It' s looking that way Terry. It' s just a matter of them getting information out. They had a great year at E3, but they were nonexistent at TGS, so hopefully, they can build some hype up again with kiosks or something of that type.

plus not having a dvd player didnt exactly help it.

No, it didn' t do much for it' s image as a system did it. But do y' think it' s gonna be different this time though? I mean, I know most gamers have a DVD player now, or a console that plays DVD' s, but think about some of the new adopter' s they' re trying to bring in, most of them won' t be, or haven' t been technologically enclined, therefore, some won' t have DVD players. Maybe I' m looking into it a bit too much, but for the sake of debate...
