IGN' s interview plus pic' s.

Some of those pics look alright, but for pete' s sake, look at the vegetation in the first screen? I' ve seen better on early PS2 games. Not to mention, things like cliffs and mountains look terrible.

That' s pretty dissapointing.[:' (]

Edit: one interesting thing I' ll point out is the crosshair placement. It' s in the center of the screen in all the pics, which makes me think they haven' t gone the way of Corruption or Red Steel with the movable reticle thing, I wonder how well that' s working for them.

You think that looks bad? You should take a look at " Samurai Warriors Wave" , it looks like a joke! The graphics are closer to PS1 than to the GCN.

Those are the worst visuals I think I' ve Seen since the original Playstation.

Its the Japanese. They' re so far behind the Western devs, its ridiculous. Obviously there are exceptions but most Japanese developers simple don' t have the man power or the expertise to make Next Gen quality. However this is just wrong, it can' t be what it will look like once finished. I understand Koei Japan is fucking cheap and this is Wii but come on.

Agent ghost is right,and also lower budget titles can still sell " okaY" i mean the tax for each game is only 5% wtf?

And with lower price,you can get a game like this for very cheap,so many gamers still buy it to try it out.

Why is developer making a game devoted for a next-gen, and is also releasing it for a current-gen console(yes Wii is also consider a 1.5 current-gen, but with a boot of steroid) don' t get me wrong, I like Nintendo and all but, is it like an insult creating a next-gen title for a powerful console and then pitting it with a console that is weaker, man those screen-shot of ' ' Far Cry' ' looks so bad the visual remind me of 007 Golden eye for the N64.

Is it me or is that, Samurai worrior wave looks alot like Tenchu stealth assasin for the PSone OMG.

Nintendo what is going on here...next time go next-gen, or els its you' re last-gen, don' t say I told ya so.

I fully agree.

Mario looks like it is a plattform title for ps3/xbox360 and it looks fantastic.

Then far cry shows up looking like a n64 game.

Ubi soft needs to re-make the world or delay the game,NOW.

As I' ve seen so few impressive looking games (in the visual sense) on the Wii, it' s a good thing that graphics don' t always make for a good game.

Metroid Prime, Excite Truck, Mario Galaxy and Red Steel looks pretty good to me though, so I don' t understand why Far Cry and Samurai Warriors look so incredibly worthless!
I think some of the developers are thinking to much about " gameplay over graphics" that they actually don' t give a damn about the graphics. Someone ned to tell them that we want to see great graphics on the Wii even though it' s not supposed to be about that.

Well,somewhere we have to draw the line,i dont wanna play with graphic 2 gen old.

Actually, I think the graphics are VERY impressive. Seriously, you' d have to work really hard to make a game that ugly. They must' ve used every trick in the book about how to NOT make good graphics.

Actually, I think they think they' re designing for DC, they were cryogenically frozen from 1999, they even stuck SEGA stickers on the Dev-Kits and everything, just to confuse them.

If it is someone needs to slap some sense into those developers.

If its not i hope the visuals get a MASSIVE improvement before launch.

They think they can pass of design and graphics and skimp through ' em simply because gamers now have a new controller to play through everything...and somehow think they' re fresh...

Take another look... it' s actually up a little bit higher than center in a couple of the pics. Maybe it can move around, but not far from center.

I liked the first Far Cry for Xbox a lot. The foliage was pretty amazing. But one thing that bothered me a bit, in that it seemed like a missed opportunity, was that the dense ground foliage was so limited in its draw distance. You could be hiding in some foliage, but if your opponent was a certain distance away, they would not see the foliage drawn and therefore you would be completely exposed.
