If the US is getting it first, and Japan on 2nd December, ...that means that Europe is being neglected again and won' t get it until mid-December at the earliest.

Everything else sounds awesome though. I just don' t understand why they' re tackling Sony head on - it doesn' t make sense.

I was hoping NES games would be cheaper. $5 each is a little too much. I' d prefer if you could buy a collection of NES games, maybe four or five, for like $10.
Maybe I' ll spend my money on some PSP and PC games and hope there' s something left when it' s Wii-day.

I' ll hold you to that. I dunno why but kinda expected them to dip below 250 not bag on the money.

Well by current exchange rates $250 is £132, but since we get everything at a premium, it' ll probably be closer to £179.

Games in the US will cost $50, so here they' ll cost £40.

I know 1 dollar less nintendo is so generous. Also what i' m wondering is isn' t developing for the wii slightly if not on par or in the arena of current gen games then why the $50 tag if you' re sole purpose is ' ' to bring gaming to the masses' ' ... no wonder every other dev are announcing support...$

Trust me I can afford the games I buy and as gaming isn' t for the poor who are nintendo targeting in ' ' the masses' ' then?.

Playstation and Playstation 2 both have an install base of over 100 million each. That' s " the masses" . Nintendo want to target the same audience they have with DS, both hardcore and casual gamers and non-gamers. DS games go for £30 here and Wii games will cost £40. Xbox and PS2 games retail for £39.99 new, so why expect Wii games to be cheaper, especially if they' re technically superior?!

At least they aren' t charging £50 like 360 games go for, and if you order them online you' ll probably be able to pick Wii games up for £29.99 anyway.

Like i said, i expect it to be about £179 when it' s released here and nything lower than £200 is cheap. The PSP cost' s £179 here so nintendo' s new console retailing for that price is fine by me. I just need to know the entire launch lineup now.

I hope we' ll get Wii Sports in the bundle like those US bastards.

A bit miffed at the launch date being 2 days after ps3? Its feasable they needed the delay to ensure the 2 million launch units? At least there not promising more then they could realistically achieve, unlike sony. Makes you wonder if sonys technically superior ps3 will meet the promised launch units.

Price wise no big surprise though the cost of the Wii mote & Nunchuk together is a little steep (US$40 for Wii mote & US$20 for nunchuk)

I hope Wiis Euro launch does not get delayed or 360 will definately will benefit.
