Xbox Live free in Europe for 10 days (20th-29th Sept)

Right through TGS (which runs 22nd-24th Sept) starting the day Microsoft hold their pre-TGS press briefing. If i had to guess what was so important about this other than it being really cool, i' d probably say i expect at least one really big multiplayer demo to be put up during the show. LINKY

We' ve had more than one free week and weekends here in the states from MS. Like Silent said, it has to do with the PS3 delay. This is an way to feed off all the people that are now pissed off at Sony.
