That sucks.
Still I don' t have an HDCP compliant 1080p TV/monitor anyway, so 720p is as good as my console games are gonna get for me! [:' (]
As of right now, it doesn' t matter. The Image Constraint Tokens will not be active until at LEAST 2010 (probably 2012). So, if you have a 1080p monitor, you can currently enjoy 1080p.
Once it' s active, though, the signal will be downgraded to " DVD quality" , or 480p MAX!
I don' t care, though. I' ll probably upgrade by then anyway. Surely once (if?) SEDs come out I' ll replace the Sony CRT that I have. They
should be HDCP compliant. And by 2012 hopefully 1080p projectors will have come down in price (or I have a spare $10,000 laying around!)
