SEGMENT 3: Third, the network. Games until now have been closed -- you buy a game and play it, then buy another game and play it. Yamauchi believes that when most think of networks, they imagine cell phones and something like Internet Explorer. Sony is looking to do something different. The network that we see right now in the homes is just one aspect of networking, not the full thing. Yamauchi wants to make a new network world, something that anyone can understand.

Wow.

I never liked him anyway.

True. However i can only imagine his comments are aimed at existing playstation hardware. So compared with ps/ps2. Still i have little faith in the new gt right now, and wouldn' t buy it either way.

I don' t wanna be racist but Japanse people and their tv channels are kind of special.
But mostly in a good way

But seriously imagien a world without them, this earth would have sucked then.
I wonder if others nations would be able to do as funny cartoons/games if they was rich also.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!

Out of the ones you mentioned iv' e seen ninja scroll and graves of the fireflies haven' t seen princess monoke yet but heard it' s good. By the way usually in anime the original language is usually the better but grave of fireflies seemed to work better in english for me. Recently watched the monster series and I liked that.

You forgot Akira dude!

Features are awesome but in general a series offers much more. The best new anime series has to be Ergo Proxy. It has amazing production values and looks far better than most feature films. If you like anime then you should definately check it out.

Other AWESOME anime series' are...

Naruto
Blood+
Bleach
Magna Carta
Full Metal Alchemist
Neo Ranga
Samurai 7
Noir
Paranoia Agent
Full Metal Panic
Samurai Champloo
GitS:SAC/2nd Gig
Tenchi Muyo!
Tenjo Tenge
Hack Sign

Why no mention of The Boondocks...well the animation studio behind it more specifically (the show itself is great as well). I think its Gonzo or somthing like that. But they gonna work on that upcoming anime with Samual L. Jackson. Their style is oh so smooth.

Then there' s the people who did Dead Leaves...(behind the Kill Bill sequence as well I think).

Production IG.

They are most famous for Ghost in the Shell, but they also did Blood, The Amazing Lives of the Fast Food Grifters, xxxHOLiC - A Misdsummer Night' s Dream, Tsubasa Chronicle - The Princess of the Birdcage Land, Jin-Roh, Patlabor 1/2 and loads of others.

They are probably the best anime studio there is. Saying that Tatsunoko are an awesome studio and their Karas OVA (parts 1-3 of 6 ' The Prophecy' ) is superbly done. There' s a 15 minute tearser somewhere on marketplace (maybe just on the Japanese Marketplace though).

Well i started uploading it for Tiz but then stopped and introduced him to SuperNZB instead so he could download them much quicker than using a torrent.

If you do use a torrent client like BitTorrent then you can download the episodes indiidually using the torrents HERE

The Shinsen-Subs ones are the ones you need. Perfectly encoded with Japanese audio and english subtitles.

Alternatively, download SuperNZB from HERE and then find out your ISP' s newsgroup server URL. BT' s for instance is news.btopenworld.com which you enter into the space in the ' server' option of SuperNZB.

Then you go to somewhere like http://www.binsearch.net/ and search for the file you need. You' ll often find that the files have been broken into parts and will have to select all the parts you require before clicking ' create NZB' . Then import the NZB file into SuperNZB and let it download the file/s.

Some files are split into PAR' s so you' ll need Quickpar from HERE and you' ll need to se it to recover and repair the files automatically. If it doesn' t do it for some reason the process can be started manually by double clicking any of the par files. Usually it will repair the files and extract them for you.

It can be a pain at first as you try and figure it out but it' s pretty self explanatory. Once you get it all sorted and working you' ll be able to get your hands on whatever you need and it downloads directly from servers at full speed so there' s no messing about.

Newsgroups are the best, fastets and easiest way to download files.

fix for some time any way. Thanks for that Majik now I can live my dream of watching Ergo Proxy...

Best Quality Anime downloads are : http://kaa.animeconnection.net/torrentpage/

You need their codec (on this site) to enjoy their great quality (Most have DD5.1)

The only problem with dedicated anime torrent sites is that there are hardly ever enough seeders to make it worthwhile.

Personally i HATE torrents. They are for people who don' t know what they are doing. I mean, why download from somebody else/multiple people and a decent speed ONLY if there are enough seeders and few leeches when you can download at full speed directly from a newsgroup server?!

You mean the sites users are always seeding the torrents. I guess that explains the limited selection. Still, if what you want is there then it looks like a decent enough place.

Torrents are awful. I seriously hate having to download from other people and much prefer downloading directly from newsgroup servers. All files on a newsgroup server can be dowloaded at full speed so i can max out my connection and have entire series' in no time.

My point was that to keep big files like those seeded 24/7 there would need to be a lot of users and very few leeches, otherwise it could take forever to download stuff.

Torrents rely on other people and since it' s easier to leech and therefore not give up any bandwidth most " older" files are hard to get as everybody is concentrating on new ones. You usually have to request that somebody seeds what you want or try to find it elsewhere.

Newsgroups are more convenient and let you download directly from the server. It' s the same speed for all files and multiple files downloads won' t choke the client out like torrents do.

I just don' t like torrents. I wasn' t trying to be a smart ass.
