The Chocobo Handheld, coming to a store near you!

Gamesindustry.biz is running a story about Square-Enix President Yoichi Wada who is hinting at a new venture for the company. The company that is famous for the RPG market may be breaking into the hardware industry. Wada talked about the popularity of the Apple ipod as well as the Nintendo DS, possibly hinting at a Square-Enix Handheld?

Square-Enix has recently acquired Taito who produces physical hardware. Square-Enix hasn’t really given any suggestion to exactly what they are planning but if they do in fact enter the hardware industry, will they be doing it with handhelds or will they be doing something entirely different? Final Fantasy handhelds maybe… Lol.
