Lower than 8 means that reviewer was biased or has no right to review games.

As with all reviews you have to know if the reviewer keeps the same style as you! and if he kinda likes the same things! Now i thought Doom 3 rocked, but i only saw one reviewer agreeing!

Are reviewers supposed to base the score on how much they personally like a game or how they think the main audience will like the game?
If the reviewer is supposed to make a personal review then it better be a person who likes the genre and knows the console very much.

No , good reviewer will tell you that he didn' t like it , but this game is polished and has some valiues that can' t justify score lower than (for instance) 8.Objective reviews are very important - and there' s a lot of room for personal comments in them.

I think good reviewers should tell about their expirience with the game, if they arent having fun playing it, they should say that, i dont know any reviewers who complains about a game not being polished if it is!

The graphic isn' t worth 7/10 in N3,there is up to 2000 enemies at screen at once that looks very good,how the fuck can you give that 7/10

If the gameplay sucks it doesn' t matter if there' s a million characters on screen at once.

shenmue deserves 8/10 that' s my opinion, (-+1) i wouldn' t care.

An 8 sounds about right.. I' d probably score the game in the 8 - 8.6 region...

Now Shenmue 2 I would definitely score in the 9s..

I agree terry,but Terry you know as well as us that Shenmue was like xbox' s Halo,it would have made SEGA faboys leave the site,or go beserk.

The thing is, reviewers will NEVER be able to please every one. You' re damned if you do and damned if you don' t... Take GameSpot' s Metal Gear Solid 3 review. While most of the other sites were awarding the game with scores in the mid to upper 9s, GameSpot' s Greg Kasavin scored the game with an 8.7 I believe and got ROASTED for it. Insults were flying left and right and fans just got ugly, But regardless of how much they protested, I' m glad he never folded. The 8.7 remained. I more agreed with his 8.7 than with the 9.8s and 10s I saw at other places.
