No what they done is they have taken what 360 has sold so far and keept selling each month.
For ex on that list each 360 is sold each 5th second.

if you mix that together you get 500k 360 sold per month,which would end up with 9 million 360 when ps3 hit launch,however MS claims they will hit 10m then.

ANyway each month that site will change their numbers to excatly what 360 has sold,however at the moment it shows number sold as been in june/july and what ms predict.

ANByway now you knopw that they gonna update the list as many times as they get new numbers.
So the list will be better then others atleast.

Interesting, We' ll have to keep up with this one. There' ll be no excuse for ridiculous fanboys here now, we just show them the numbers, and watch their inner psyche break down.

This is kinda cool, a 360 sold every second. I really don' t care who wins, as long as someone makes one I want after this gen is over.

first 10 mln units of PS3 and X360 will sell easily - Fanboys,gearwhores,rich kids and so on.

After 10mln mark, the true mainstream war will start.

MS is doomed in Japan cause if it ain' t PS3, it' s Wii.

US is a safe bet for MS - Americans know Xbox brand very well and MS knows how to market products among their people.They also love their own products :)

Europe is where the true battle will take place - when PS3 launches, 360 will have about 1,5 - 2 mln units sold - PS3 will sell that many units in the first month (if they can deliver enough units).


That' s how I see it and I can be wrong ofcourse :)

I have no idea how will US and EU people react to Wii - it' s a huge mystery for me.

I can' t see Wii doing well in Europe, it will probably be a close race between 360 and PS3 in Europe. In NA I expect the same except PS3 won' t do as well as the other two compared to the previous gen. I' m interested in seeing how Wii and ps3 do in Japan. We all know Sony is big in Japan but the PS3 is expensive for the Japanese, I think Wii has a DS vibe to it. It might even beat the PS3.

I hope nintendo wins over 360 and ps3 it will be sooo funny

DS is selling extremely well in both US and EU - so maybe Wii , while not dominating next gen , will have a huge userbase as a second system.

I think Japan is all about Wii now - those guys have bought 10mln DS consolesthemselves and there are 21 mln sold worldwide :)

wii gets alot of votes from its hardcore audience,however it wont mean wii will be near to win anyway...

I' ve had my money on these guys for years. Just you wait, they have Duke Nukem Forever, Starcraft 2 and Shenmue 3 as launch titles.

And it seems like MS haven' t given up on the " DEAD ZONE" that is Japan (altough I think it' s about time they did), I recently saw this in an anime...

Note the on button? It' s not the greatest anime, but I found this rather funny, and do know that I wouldn' t have thought of this as " sneak commercial" , unless it was for the fact that the show is sponsored by your favourite American gaming console, the X-Box 360.

I also saw in another new anime series called Innocent Venus, a scene that is more or less a rip off from parts of the MGS4 trailer. I' m reffering to the scene, where Raiden goes ballistic on the Metal Gears, destroying everything. In innocent venus the action is similair, and not only does the robots look like those in MGS4, but even the dude doing the butt kicking is wearing a sort of exo-skelleton (or whatever those suits are called)... Coincidence?

Yea we' ll see how doomed the 360 is in Japan when games like Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey release ;)

I guarantee there will be atleast 600,000 copies of Blue Dragon or more sold in japan come september 07. If it was a ps3 title it would be guaranteed like 1.8 million its first weekend. Guess we' ll soon find out if Japan appreciates good games no matter where they come from or if they are ridicoulous bias in favor of the japanese console makers and as a result stupidly deprive themselves of good games.


Then again Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey will need to live up to all the hype of course to see where Japan really stands. We all know they love Sakaguchi, Toriyama and Uematsu to death.

They won' t though. It' s well known that Sony is planning on doing a worldwide launch with 2 million TOTAL units. As Majik stated, the U.S. and Japan will get the lion' s share, with Urop getting a smaller percentage (400,000 to 500,000 maybe).

Also, it' s gonna be the holiday season, and Sony won' t be able to keep the shelves stocked! So that means Mummy is going to buy the 360 or Wii for the kiddies. Should be an interesting holiday season, to say the least.

yeah , but if they can ship 6mln per month - they could be ok (remember that 360 faced some serious problems with shortages for a long time)

i dont wanna sound like a fan boy but the way i see it is that it will be 360 then wii then PS3. I mean 2 games out of 3 which were a major part in selling the ps2(GTA series and WWE smackdown series) are gonna be on the 360 (except Smackdown vs Raw 07 will be on the psp and ps2 but why have it on a last gen console when u could get it on a new gen console? and the other good game, god of war, but wow the 360 has Elder Scrolls 4 and Fable 2 is coming so why bother? the way i see it is the only person who will buy it is fan boys that dont even care if it doesnt have any good games.

when people have it on the side, it means that a lot will use it as their second console. So yeah, Americans will favor the 360, Europeans will be in between, and Japan will favor PS3. Nintendo will have a leg in both camps, i think a lot of wii' s will be sitting next to either a PS3 or an Xbox360,´not that many of them will be sitting by themselves, they dont like being lonely!
