Whats your favorite game of all time?

Hey guys I' m sure im gonna get alot of people who' ve been reading my other posts and thats great so you know I love to shoot the shit so lets get started!

I' m really curious as to what your favorite games are! This time around I wanna see how expansive and diverse people are so we' ll do 6 catagories (your are allowed 2 per catagory)...

1) adventure (action rpg, zelda, crystalis, terranigma, etc...)

2) rpg (duh, final fantasy, chrono trigger, etc...)

3) racing (pgr, need for speed, mario kart, etc...)

4) sports (any and all arcade to simulation)

5) First person shooter (doom, halo, hexen, etc...)

6) Fighting (mortal kombat, street fighter, etc...)

My favorites are:

1) Terranigma (snes), crystalis (nes)

2) Star Ocean: Second Story (ps1), Final Fantasy VII (ps1)

3) RUSH 2049 (arcade/dc), Forza Motorsport (xb)

4) Base wars (nes), Dead or Alive: Xtreme beach volleyball(xb)

5) Perfect Dark (n64), Unreal championship 2004 (pc)

6) Garou: Mark of the wolves (dc), Dead or alive 4 (360)

why must we do a " what´s your fave game of all time " thread every semester?

anyway, mine are:

1) shenmue
2) final fantasy 7
3) Metropolis Street racer (it was yhe first driving game i got addicted to)
4) Worldwide soccer 98 club edition
5) Halo
6) Dead or alive 3

Adventure/action - Resident Evil 4. The game is BA Baracus badass! The 2nd would be Ninja Gaiden Black.

RPG - Final Fantasy 7 & Tales of Symphonia.

Racing - PGR3 and Daytona USA.

Sports - Any of the Pro Evolution series and NHL 2005.

Shooter - GRAW and The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay.

Beat-em-up - Killer Instinct and KoF 2002.

Yeah,seriously GRAW is one of the finest shooters ever made.

I' m going to list my faves as series.

1) Zelda (that' s the only one I can think of now)

2) Shining Force, Fire Emblem (I like Tactical/Strategy RPGs)

3) MarioKart, Extreme-G

4) Not very much experience with sports games

5) Perfect Dark (just the first one), TimeSplitters

6) Eternal Champions, Super Smash Bros.

This is how i currently have my dashboard. I would use the darker blades but because my background is black they wouldn' t look right. I use them with a white background on my American account. Still, i think it looks ok...

3) Racing - Burnout Revenge... Burnout is the only racing series I like.

4) Sports - Tony Hawk' s Pro Skater 3, Winning Eleven series.

5) First person shooter - Half Life 2, Halo 2.

6) Fighting - Dead Or Alive 4, Virtua Fighter 4

7) MMORPG - World Of Warcraft

8) RTS - Warcraft 3

9) Music - Frequency

10) Strategy RPG - Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (better than the original FFT IMO).

Too bad they fucked up the series, part 3 is one of the most fucked up retarded games I' ve ever played.

I cant decide on what my fav game of all time is, but I do love games with a great story, so Mgs is obviosuly one of my favs.

I could easily tell you my most hated games of all time.

2) RPG: Shining in the Darkness

Yeah, Shining in the Darkness is a great game, though I didn' t play it as much as Shining Force. Camelot is a very talented developer, I don' t know why they don' t make more RPGs.

Have you played Golden Sun, Chee Saw?

I don' t think it is possible for me to pick a favorite one, Ico ranks up there. But I think impact wise, MGS 3 was the only game to ever cause an emotional response for me. Amazing game.
