Big companies is abusing Marketplace... - Jul 08, 2006 02:29
Very sad day for gaming,i just saw that EA has just stabbed us gamers...

So first off all we all remember how we saw horse armor in-game pic months before release date in Oblivion, and they delayed the game with 5 months then when the game is out horse armor wasn' t in it,instead 2 weeks later they wanted money for it.
SO you delay the game with 5 months claiming you need to fix bugs and glitches andthen take out content and charge us money for it?
Horse armor was just one thing, that was already done, that they charge money for,the magical tower was also another thing.

Now that sucks.

Ubi soft did something similiar with taking a fee that was 1200 gp,for some online maps, now that is really splitting up the community, espeically when its so hard to find people to play ranked games with.

So after 2k and ubi failed us what did EA do?

Well they announced that only the ones who pre-ordered BMFE2 will get all online maps.

You others will have to pay 700 GP to get the maps that was done.
700 gp=9 dollars.

basically EA charge you 9 dollars more for a game that they taken out content from, and pretend like its something extra.

YOU GREEDY SCUMBAGS,IT WAS ALREADY DONE,STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU GIVE EXTRA VALUE TO THE PEOPLE WHEN PAYING.

Boycote BFME2.!!!

EA really now how to piss gamers off

So that' s how it is,Game developers gonna cut out content and release it later and charge you money for it-1-3 weeks later when the game is out.

Nice?
That' s their way off making a lot more money on each game, and it sucks for those who doesnt have a internet cable.
Or mayby it doesnt since they doesnt have to be lured.

ps! read recently that Square-enix look into taking money over dl content like chapters, lets hope they doesnt do the same...
unlocking already done content in some games after paying them extra money.

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I don' t agree.

I think that companies SHOULD offer free stuff to the people who pre-order their games. Otherwise, why pre-order?

In Gamestation we often have give-aways/freebies (usually demos) for people who pre-order games. I think additional content for bothering to pre-order a game is a great idea.

Don' t tell me you think EA did the right thing?
So you mean we people who buy BFME2 should pay 9 extra dollar to have the same Online maps?

$9 is maybe harsh, but i think getting free stuff for pre-ordering is cool.

Importers have been enjoying free/bonus items with pre-orders for years and also paying a little extra for cool bonus items!

Yes,like the having the Tiger animal in Black&white2.

But my problem is when a company like EA takes out some off the MP maps, and then put on a 700 GP price tag which is 9 dollars to get those, even though they was done before the game went gold.

So if you wanna play with people who pre-order the price for your bfme2 will be the same+ 9 dollar.

I understand where you' re coming from Quez. I mean, the idea of a developer making a game, and then months later adding to it is kinda cool, but to release a game with part of it chopped off to make an extra buck?! That' s NOT cool! If anything, the " bonus" thing that pre-order folks get shouldn' t be THAT important.

The whole " horse armor" in Oblivion thing I don' t really care about, because they were just doing that to test the waters, anyway. What the hell do I care about horse armor (although my horse did get beaten up pretty bad the other day! DOH!)
