Everyone wants a HDTV,but in europe they are overpriced atm.
Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs!
What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

I dont have any HDTV, but i have a 360 and im happy with that.. i dont feel the need to buy a stupidly expensive tv just to play in a higher resolution, i think that' s a waste of money. Thats just my opninion though.

Yeah, but thats in some years or so, as you said.. so no reason to buy it now. And then the prices might have droped a bit too.

Altough, i dont feel the need to have one even though they' re going to broadcast programs in HD.

The next Kingdom Hearts will be in HD. That should expedite your HDTV purchase, methinks. Just imagine Mickey, Donald and all of those cute li' l Disney critters in HD! Ok, here' s something that makes my brain itch.

23" HDTV for $399

Okay, so sounds like a decent deal, right? So why is the native resolution of the set 1366x768, yet it says it only does HD 480p? Even better, the max pc resolution that it' ll do is 1024 x 768!

So, if the native resolution is 1366x768 it should be able to display HD 720p, right? I mean, 1280x720 is less that it' s native resolution, so what' s the problem? And what' s the purpose of the resolution being that high if the highest signal it can process being 1024x768? WTF!?

... Oh right, i dont give a shit.

I' ve been looking on some HDTV' s in some stores, and some of them (watched on regular Tv Channels) Looks even crappier than regular ones, and costs twice as much, whats the point buying that shit now? When all you can do to enjoy it is to play your 360.

You just answered your own question!

I don' t know if you guys noticed this, but HDTVs have been dropping in price quite dramatically over the past year. I routinely see " true" HDTVs (as in, at least 720p) for under a grand, nowadays. Some as large as 32" .

Check it out...

I think that if you' re going to buy a new TV you might as well buy a HDTV. Unless there are some changes or technology that hasn' t been decided yet. THe next time I' m buying a new TV it will be a HDTV.
But right now I' m happy with my old TV so I see no need to buy a new one. I don' t like replacing a fully functional product just because there' s something better on the market.

As i said about HD,sure its a must have when you can afford it.

But xbox360 use next gen features like HDR and pixel shader 3.0 also why does PC gamers stay at same reso even though they get new games?
Cause the graphic engine is being upgraded and make each games look much ebtter, and take advantage of new power from the pc,as with a new console.

Smoke, light, metal you name it,gonna look way way better on a more powerful console ,no matter what reso.

I' ll prob get the 19" one as 360' s max resolution is less than 1440 x 900, if i
remember correctly. Ill order the Hewlett Packard one mid next week.

Now that I am all HD' d up to my balls.. I need a good sound system/speakers..

Any recommendations?

Majik, what does your TFT look like?

And for the meantime, what' s the best reso for a 15" monitor?

It doesn' t. I have a 23" CRT that i aquired a while back for design work. That' s what i' m using with my 360 right now.

I do have a 19" TFT but i use that for my PC.

And for the meantime, what' s the best reso for a 15" monitor?

I would guess 1366×768 (may show as 1360)

Test a few and see what gives you the correct aspect ratio.

Thanks for that.

Everyone, just for the record...

CoD2 is a MUST-HAVE epic game..

The campaign is one of the best I have seen in an FPS...

And Prey is messed up..

I already finished COD2 on my PC with 1024' 768 reso.

I been in HD i know how it looks like ffs
But low reso on PC looks horrible, but on a TV it doesn' t.

Btw my TFT' s max reso is 1280' 1024,its also its native,so i will have to use 1024' 768 i guess.

Any computer screen shows in HD.

This pictures are from HL2 at max with 1280' 1024,basically above 720p with a 360.
And yes this was from my PC,so if you find flaws blame my PC then...But still this is " HD" . that people think make each games magical.

For me Table Tennis and OB or even Graw looks better at 640' 480 reso on my STV.

yeah, the best way to hook ur 360 up to ur computers 5.1 speakers would be to get a high end sound blaster card with optical input. The VGA cord has an optical out, all of the 360 ones do. You just need an optical cable to connect it from that to your computer. That' s what I do with my SB audigy 2 platinum, I' m getting a x-fi platinum though, You don' t really need the fatality one it doesn' t really help with anything. Oh and with ur speakers if you wanna just use the head phone jack thing you might need to get a female to female adapter thingy to hook it directly into your speakers. But you could also just go on the input on ur sound card then output to the speakers. I' m kinda drunk so yeah. w00h yeah 4th of july w00t.
