NAMCO (tri-Crescendo) developing new RPG for 360
-
Jun 21, 2006 21:24
It' s called Trusty Bell (but what' s in a name eh?) These two scans are from amitsu weekly and show the first screens of the game. It look very TOS to me and the cell-shading looks fantastic. I really hope this turns out to be a great game. They might be saving their known franchises for Sony but it' s new IP' s like this and Mistwalkers trio of RPG' s that i' m interested in. If anybody happens to be able to read Japanese, we' d love to know what the text says... EDIT: It seems that NAMCO are publishing the game and it' s being developed by tri-Crescendo. My bad. It also seems to be the very first cell-shaded game in 720p. These guys did Baiten Kaitos on the Gamecube so this should be awesome!

That' s great to see and all, but all I want is Soul Calibur 4 on the X360. There' s no good fighters on the X360, now or in the pipeline, so it' s like there isn' t much competition...

Wow! That looks great. I can' t imagine how much better it' ll look when it' s released for the superior PS3. Which of course it will since the PS3 will outsell (read crush) the 360 and Namco wants $ so they' ll release it for the PS3. And then the sequels will be PS3 exclusive just like Soul Calibur was for PS2 (and PS3 by the way). And then every other big developer will follow. So yeah that' s good news.

Even if you break 2 legs from a crab it still runs! What you gotta do is find its weak spot and do massive damage at it.

Ok I admit fully that I' ve never really liked cell shading but damn... Those screens are some of the most vibrant and colorful I' ve ever seen in a game. Check out the sky! It' s fantasic! I can' t wait to see more of it!

Now if only RPG' s looked this good and were not turn-based. I like the cell-shading in particular..
