Wanna chance to play Ghost Recon for real?

Hi all I' m new here and hope you don' t mind me posting - love gaming and have me PSP - but am not very good!!

I run www.safeconcerts.com which is a website dedicated to concert and festival safety - it' s not a business and I do it all voluntarily and make no money at all - just trying to get improvements for folk at festivals.

I wonder if any of you gamers out there are also into music? I' m looking for gig reviews and venue reviews etc. Also for anyone who was caught up in the horrors at Download last weekend. I' ve got myself some tickets to the latest big thing which is Laser War - you will be able to play Ghost Recon for real! firefights, tanks and humvees in abundance etc - loads of things about - I' ll be giving away free tickets to whoever makes the best contribution.

Mods - I hope it' s okay to post this here.
So - please have a look if you are into music and festivals - I really need the help of ordinary people if it is to make a real difference.

Yeah, I remember playing Laser War (or LaserTag, as it was called here). It wasn' t very fun, in my opinion. Instead of just shooting the person, like you normally would try to do, you had to shoot the light receptors on the person' s chest, shoulders, etc. That takes the " realism" down a bit.

I played paintball once, jumped right into a smoke grenade. Lets just say if it
were real bullets, you would be able to play Connect4 on me.....

Oh - I don' t know it' s very new and I think the only place with humvees, tanks and Lynks helicopters to play with! but mabe I' m wrong? - check it out - I may not be very good in describing what' s on offer here. doh

It's not easy having a good time - even smiling makes my face hurt.

I' m with you on the humvees and tanks...... But how do we fly a helicopter?

Wouldn' t mind lasering myself to freedom in a tank.... All sounds a bit expensive
though, we' re not talking cardboard here..... are we?

By the way, welcome to the forums. My name is Tiz, and the reclining chair is
mine also the beanbag, the fish used to belong to Majik, until Mass X
murdered them and stuffed them into my bean bag. Otherwise, if you have any

all animals behind an electric fence. Although we tried to install an electric fence
in the fish tank... and that turned out well...

Y' know what, we usually get people advertising stuff in these forums and it' s usually something really pathetic, but this actually looks cool.

I play paintball at least once a month (usually only once because of the high costs), and up until now i would never have even considered playing anything else, especially something that uses lasers.

Yeah guys - I am 100% for real - there is absolutely nothing in this for me at all, I' m just trying to get a bit of attention for concert safety.

If you have a look at the Ghost Recon bit on the Laser War site you' ll see that Ubisoft have had a go and are supporting it - also Goldie took a team down as well - loads of photo' s of that on the site to.

I' ve just been lucky enough to have the opportunity to have some tickets that I' m able to give away and am trying to get the message out to people. I think it looks quite cool myself and quite fancy the heavy metal stuff! quite like the isea of being rushed around in a Humvee with a SAS escort me!!! lol

alot of the guys here are from the ' u.s' and ' god only knows where else' , so even though kikizo are based in the uk there are only a few who can enter this, like maybe myself, whatabout paul.. and er.. who else is from Europe/uk/surrounding countrys?

deadly Swiss army knife for instant kills.

Expect tight leather outfits and goggles with 3 lights on them then. Also
stealth kills and air support via a dumbed down cross com.

Also, do they give you a tutorial on how to drive those things? Or is there
someone specifically that drives and waits for everyone to infiltrate, and once
the mission is over he drives off with the people that made it? So everyone has

Yeah - as far as I am aware Ubi are involved now with all the Ghost Recon stuff - check out this link: http://www.laserwar.co.uk/ubisoft.asp

This is advanced war gaming - with different guns with different ranges and damage, you have health which gets depleted and when you die you respawn. It also features proper, real, fully operational APCs, tanks, humvees and other military vehicles (which you can take out with a laser rocket launcher)

And I will be offering more than just the one chance to win tickets - possibly every month I hope - all very new so who knows what next eh???

Now I' ll have to check on specifics if you want more info - but I think all you need to know is actually on the laser war site itself. There are proper SAS people etc that I think do all the driving and stuff.

All it takes is for one GTA enthusiast to wreak havoc on the neighbourhood as
soon as they step into that tank/humvee...

I am pretty sure they have a real weapons depot somewhere as well.. Could get
seriously ugly, and the place will likely look like something out of a
horror movie.

I' ll be sure to sellotape a camera to my gun. It may get a bit foggy, but thats
good, cos we at Kikizo love to be in the thick of REAL-TIME action..
