It' s a film about football (as in soccer) hooliganism. Back during the 1970' s you used to get a lot of organised fights between rival football supporters. There' s a lot less now, but it still goes on and England football fans are still regarded (unfairly?) as being hooligans. The film apparently glorifies hooliganism which has seen many people criticising it.

Funny that Vinnie Jones isn' t involved, you would have thought senseless violence would be his thing.
