New Advanced Warfighter DLC - Jun 05, 2006 21:50
I' ve been trying to make my mind up since i bought it. I have played it through twice in the solo campaign and wasted hours playing it online, -- and now i have finally come to the conclusion that it is a very BAD game.

I am ofcourse, taking about the PC version!

Has anybody else played both the 360 and PC version of the game, or even just one of them?! If so, what are your thoughts?

RE: I HATE GRAW - Jun 05, 2006 21:57
I have,i quited the PC version after 30 min,and thought it was crap,i just played the SP.

Table Tennis> all.

Btw instead of creating a new thread, here is famitsu most wanted...

1. Final Fantasy III (NDS, Square Enix)
2. Persona 3 (PS2, Atlus)
3. Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of the Patriots (PS3, Konami)
4. Resident Evil 5 (PS3, Capcom)
5. Valkyrie Profile 2 (PS2, Square Enix)
6. Final Fantasy XIII (PS3, Square Enix)
7. The Legend of Zelda : Twilight Princess (GC, Nintendo)
8. Seiken Densetsu 4 (PS2, Square Enix)
9. Blue Dragon (Xbox 360, Microsoft)
10. Xenosaga III (PS2, Namco)
11. Super Robot Taisen : Original Generations (PS2, Banpresto)
12. Gyakuten Saiban 4 (NDS, Capcom)
13. Devil Kings 2 (PS2, Capcom)
14. Summon Night 4 (PS2, Banpresto)
15. Pokémon Diamond & Pearl (NDS, Nintendo)
16. Final Fantasy VI (GBA, Square Enix)
17. Utaware Rumono (PS2, Aquaplus)
18. Shining Wind (PS2, Sega)
19. Kamaitachi no Yoru 3 (PS2, Sega)
20. The Legend of Zelda : Phantom Hourglass (NDS, Nintendo)

Its funny how Sakaguchi did seiken densetsu, and FF3.

But ofc famitsu rather wants sequals/remakes then wanting his new true IP with akira.

And still its says Resident evil 5 to ps3.
And see,no Halo3 :)

The MS bashing keeps going on in famitsu, how long?

lack of mario galaxy for wii?

Ofc,why would famitsu care for nintendo when the fans was more into wii the xbox360/ps3 ofc they want to try and hide xbox360/wii games.

You caught my attention with I HATE GRAW, I thought you were talking about the
360 version.

Nice to see Blue Dragon at number 9 at least..

It' s funny how the japanese people hate change, but they buy Nintendo' s stuff
which is ALL about changing the industry and how it works with innovation..

Just thought I might point that out..

How he came up with 60% is beyond me. He probably just pulled it out of thin air.

Yep PC GRAW is shocking. I' ve only played the demo mind you, but the controls were awful and the performance was bad even on good hardware. The concept was there with more freedom in the level design, but they just didn' t pull it off at all.

Saying that I hate 360 GRAW' s single player just as much, for it' s uninspiring gameplay and sluggish controls. However, GRAW mp is addictive as crack!

I havent played GRAW on PC but as for the 360 I prefer the single player compared to the MP. For some reason I enjoy GR2/SS MP more.

I was disapointed when i heard graw was going to be a first person shooter on the pc, thanks for the addition into a stale genre there Ubisoft [:' (]

Anyway, Graw is an console game, I bet it plays better on 360. Dosent it?

yup it does, Ive completed it on the 360 but got frustrated with trying to play it on a mates. Funnily enough since finishing it ive not been that bothered with multiplayer, yet before id finished it it was the most addicted id been to a game mp for years since halo 1!

RE: I HATE GRAW - Jun 06, 2006 05:35
The 360 version is my favourite game of the year so far. I played it on a SDTV and it looked waaaaaaay better than any non-next-gen game, but the difference playing it in HD is huge.

The solo campaign is awesome, and i don' t mind the slightly sluggish controls as it' s not a fast paced game. The controls are better that RE4' s and at least you can shoot whilst moving. The cover system works better than any other game using a similar system and the way you can switch shoulders is genius. The levels are big and the game is graphically perfect, -- i really can' t fault it except maybe the AI of your squad which is rubbish mostly.

I' m playing through the main game for what must be my 12th or so time now, but the icing on the cake is the multi-player which is FAR better than either Halo game (and they are AWESOME). I know what Mass about prefering the online in Summit Strike, but i can' t personally agree. I think that Advanced Warfighter is much more balanced and the drone adds another layer of depth.

The PC version is dreadful and really should have been like the 360 version. Hopefully they can get R6:Vegas right for both platforms.

I have high hopes for Double Agent too since the 360 version is being developed by the 360 GRAW team (which obviously makes sense), and both Pandora Tomorrow' s and Chaos Theory' s multi-player components were an absolute blast!

So, -- if you have a 360 and don' t have GRAW, then you need to get it, -- and if you buy a 360 down the line, you need to get it. I even prefer it to Oblivion!

You need to accept my friends request on live so I can join in on some GRAW mp. I tend to do more Team LMS then anything else. However, Im not especially picky.

Graw to PC is quite ugly,i play it at 1024' 768,and the charcter looks fine the else crap.
Now before someone write your pc suck,i play Half life2 episode one at 50-60 fps with this graphic.
1280' 1204 high 2xAA no HDR or Bloom everything else on.

Yes Hl2 episode one looks awesome,GRAW to Pc look crap,GRAW to xbox360 look amazing.

ps! i play my 360 games on STV,no pc game is as good looking as my Table Tennis for 360 on STV.

we hook up 2 360s most months and have a beer and guns nite as 3 of us in the cul-de-sac have 360' s (out of 6 houses!) it is fantastic fun with 8 players, and no live lag!

Although I cant wait for COD3, COD2 is underrated in the MP stakes, it has converted many a peep to 360 allready - especially round here!

Hmm...i never bought cod2 to xbox360,since i could play the pc version at highest with 30-40 fps which looked the same as the 360 version, and Mp with pc if going sniper is better suited for PC-

CoD2 on 360 kicks f**king ass! Sniping isn' t as easy as on the PC, but that makes it fairer.

I loves me KAR. If Im on the allies I spend most of the time searching out a player using the gun just so I can have it.

The only problem I have with COD2 on 360 is the 8 player limit. I have so many friends who play that game online that it often feels a room quickly which is nice, but we have to go with a first come first serve deal leaving others out for the night.

RE: I HATE GRAW - Jun 07, 2006 06:02
HL2: Episode 1 is cool. Although it' s pretty much identical to HL2, not much original stuff and not much story. Lasted me 3.5 hours playing slow on normal difficulty.. but I' m probably gonna play it through again with the commentary on.

Had CoD2 on PC, single player was quite dramatic and the environments were cool, but the gameplay was pretty simplistic. Mp was terrible. CoD3 doesn' t exactly fill me with hope. WW2 is a rich subject, they could do something more interesting than just running around shooting germans. Band of Brothers was a cool TV series, something more like that would be good.

New Advanced Warfighter DLC - Jun 08, 2006 21:19
I' m changing the name of this thread rather than creating a new one, so quote from this post please.

GRAW Chapter 2 download

12 NEW multi-player maps

........

4 new co-op campaign missions:

- Coffee Plantation (Day) – Obviously, this takes place on a coffee plantation embedded deep in Nicaragua. The map is littered with good cover options that appear in the form of a centrally located plantation house, coffee processing equipment, growing coffee plants, and stacked bags of coffee beans ready for transport. The Ghosts’ overall goal of this mission is to eliminate the arms dealer and shut down his operations.

- Shipping Port (Evening) – The next mission takes place at a shipping port and the Ghosts’ objective is to stop the enemy from smuggling weapons into the country. The player will interact with rebel troops through warehouses, decks of ships, and on massive shipping cranes. This night mission provides an eerie backdrop for Ghosts to move in take out the weapon shipments and ensure that the illegal smuggling of arms will stop.

- River Depot (Dawn) – This map puts the Ghosts in a jungle area that the Rebel forces have infiltrated and are using for storing and shipping out illegal weapons. The goal of the Ghosts is to secure the warehouse facility that holds crucial information concerning the placement and shipment of weapons. As the player weaves through the jungle and eliminates the patrols of enemies, they must also destroy all the weapon shipments and keep the Rebels from extracting from the area. Massive trees, loads of weapon shipments, and enemy transports are unique characteristics of this mission.

- Jungle Mine (Day) – The last mission in this co-op campaign chapter takes place in a mine that is vital to the Rebel force’s regime and the Ghosts are tasked with securing the area, destroying the weapons, and eliminating the Rebel leader. The central location on this map is the mine itself and it provides a place for multi-tiered gameplay surrounded by good cover. This mission provides a new gameplay experience for Ghost Recon fans and it will surely be one of the more memorable missions in GR history.
